They lost sight of the ball all night and we threw some passes that made them look like the Washington Generals.
They're very overrated and I don't see them being anywhere close to their ranking before tip today.
They are fools' gold and an early out in the NCAA, IMO.

They had a bad game, it happens. Do you think Michigan is really 20 points better than Iowa?

Seriously?

Iowa D is not as bad as Michigan made it look and OSU's is not as bad as Iowa made it look. Iowa did what many of us have been begging for over the past few weeks. 1) Stopped pounding the ball into Garza robotically. 2) Garza got out of the post, and pulled his guy out which created space for dribble penetration. 3) Iowa made OSU pay for helping on Garza.

That's about as good as Iowa can play and as bad as OSU can play.

It helps that OSU has no one who can guard Luka one on one, so they had to double team him. Michigan did not have to double team Garza last week as Dickinson did a good job on Luka. Iowa did a very good job moving without the ball yesterday and passing on cuts to the basket instead of dribbling around the top of the key, which put more pressure on the OSU defense as well.

OSU is not, and was not, a #1

So only our poor defensive efficiency #'s count but not theirs?
Lol, they are way overrated and we proved that in spades yesterday.
They beat us not that long ago, and gave Michigan all they could handle. If you're ranked in March, you're proven over time.

I still can't believe Iowa won this game, comfortably ahead quite a bit, but weathered the storm after the lead went from 14 to 4. We played good for us defensively, and they didn't shoot well and that was ballgame. (didn't hurt that Iowa had about 20 more assists than they did against Michigan)

Ohio State beats you on the Offensive end, much like Iowa does, but not in this one.

OSU's defense is actually worse than Iowa's. They are currently 81 in adjusted defensive efficiency. Iowa is 59. OSU and Iowa have similar profiles. Very good offenses, meh on defense. Overall good teams. Very good win by Iowa.

We won this game with rebounding. They got one shot and missed a lot of them

And they have a season of piss poor defensive metrics as do we, but
Iowa started playing D.

Does anyone remember, not two weeks ago, all of the charts showing how great O combined with terrible D has done in the NCAA?
That is OSU.

That doesn't mean they're overrated though, it means statistically they won't last long in the NCAA Tournament. There is a difference between ranking and Tournament analytics.

fOSU has lost 3 straight, so maybe we caught them at a good time?

And lastly, statistics don't win Basketball games.

Certainly seem to when it comes to talking about this team.
OSU isn't for long in the NCAA if anyone forces them to play defense.
