OSU tackles Mich player with 1:38 or 1:37 on the game clock. So the 40 second playclock should start meaning Mich has to snap the ball at abou the :57 second mark.

Then as the play clock was winding down the officials stopped it at 1:29 and then restarted the 40 second play clock and the game clock runs all the way down to 48 seconds before a Mich timeout.

So what happened , Anyone know?

Edit: I just heard a helmet of an OSU player came off so a 10 second runoff

Was it OSU trying to call back to back to's which you can not do?

No that was one or two plays before. and OSU was penalized 5 yards for delay of game which gave Mich a first and goal.

Without that back to back timeout penalty it was going to be about 3rd and 2 or 3 from about the 6 yard line. If OSU holds there then they call timeout and Mich kicks the FG but OSU would have had about 1:45 with the ball.

Ryan Day's bucknuts really know how to screw it up. I wanted them to win because the rematch with Oregon would be great theater. Now we probably have Penn st in the title game , yuck. I hate Phil Knight NIKE money and PSU more than I hate OSU.
