I see Oliver Purnell and DePaul decided to part ways after 5 years he was there as coach after leaving Clemson to go there.
What's the story with DePaul? For years now they have failed to be relevant.
When Ray Meyer had his last great run there in the late 1970's, it was he had recruited Mark Aguire, Terry Cummings (stole him from Iowa), and several other Chicago kids.
On the surface you'd think they could have a great advantage by being in the city of Chicago and able to go very local in their recruiting. I don't think they have their own on campus arena and that can't help. Are there high academic standards that are making it tough?
