Sorry Big Twelve.

This was a good game to establish such things as how many teams get in to the NCAA from the Big Ten, and how to seed them.

As to the Big Twelve...let's hope the NCAA doesn't fall for them being a great conference again!

KU had a McDonald's All-American sitting out the game. In fact he was the MVP of the McD game. I hate KU...but still.

MSU will increase their stock value by the time IA plays them first B1G game on Dec. 29 so that IA can defeat them for a flawless victory :)... or make IA's SOS much better. On a serious note, it makes the B1G conference looks very good. MSU should break the top ten by next week.

Mich St also had Clark & Schilling out...the only reason Self wins is because of talent...his teams play very little "team" basketball...share the ball? you kidding me?

MichSt has some things you can expose...they are beatable.

Here we go.....pretty weak sauce their Cyd....shame on you. This is Big Ten country to boot. Like we care.

That's a real shame.... where and when should we expect to see the asterisk next to the 'L' for mighty Kansas?

Jeez

Jeez, I hate KU (guarantee more than you) so simma down. I'm just saying that not having the MVP of the Micky D game would really suck. It was a good close early season game. KU can go 0-40 for all I care. Whoops, they already won one game.

He didn't seem that fired up, just pointing out the MSU was missing players too. You probably should have done your homework on both teams.

If the guys in the striped shirts allow it. If they do, then you can play the spread against the Power - I running game.

And no, I'm not making analogies, I think one of MSU's basketball plays is a hand off up the middle with their big uglies opening up a hole.

Looks like Tom Izzo was finally able to find another suit his size while he was in Chicago. appears they threw in a fancy new tie also, although tom had to have it shortened.
Nice punch of the basketball by Matt Costello. real heads up gutsy play.

So Hawk fans root for Michigan State to win but were happy when Wisconsin lost to Western Illinois?

Here, let me help you Cy. When Wisconsin loses to Western Illinois it doesn't bother us because no one is going to get confused and think the Summit League is better than the Big Ten. However, if Michigan State gets beat by Kansas, there will be some casual basketball fans in Big 12 country and other places that might get confused and think that the Big 12 is a better basketball conference than the Big 10. We just don't want anyone, like you, to be confused.

Nicely played 12345....LOL. Makes total sense to me.

OK I get what you're saying, I didn't know if it was a Big 12 thing or if it was a Wisconsin thing. I want the Big 12 to go undefeated in non conference to help out our RPI but couldn't care less what they do after that in the tourney. I hope Kansas loses every first round game until the end of time and I'll even admit I did get some joy watching them lose last night even though I would have preferred them winning. Wisconsin losing to a Summit League team doesn't help Iowa's RPI though just like KU losing doesn't help ISU either

While I agree, in theory, with what you are saying... I'm good with Minnesota and Wisconsin losing to anyone and everyone, regardless of who that might be.

This ^^^^^^^ The more the Big Ten beats on teams from the SEC, Big Twelve, ACC, Pac12, Big East, even the Atlantic Ten, the better. And the higher up in their particular league, all the better still. Should the day come it gets the Big Ten eight, maybe nine invites? Great!!! Even more important to earn better seeds for everyone!

But, common, love only goes so far and when a Summit League team beats Wisconsin? Hot dang that's funny! :D All $$%^#$ bets off it's just too good to not enjoy! And seriously, how many Summit League team's are going to be challenging for spots in the NCAA Tournament?

I root for all big ten teams ooc. It only helps Iowa for the Big Ten to do well against other leagues.

I thought most of KU's players were McD's AA, so missing one should hardly matter. As much as I hate MSU, I think Izzo runs a much cleaner program than Self.

MSU is one of the premier teams in the Big this year, they need to win for our SOS, especially against KU. Wisconsin is going to suck (relatively speaking) this year and it might be Bo's last year, so them loosing to a 3rd tier team isn't going to have much affect on our SOS or the reputation of the Big. And Bo losing is always good.
