OT: Nebraska Exodus

Click Bait.. The author, Rudransh Atri, apparently knows nothing about football. Many of the departures are walk-ons or non-contributors. And more need to go. Nebraska signed 20 in December and 15 more transferred in so far.

INCOMING TRANSFERS
DL Williams Nwaneri - Missouri
OL Elijah Pritchett - Alabama
WR Dane Key - Kentucky
LB Dasan McCullough - Oklahoma
WR Hardley Gilmore - Kentucky
WR Nyziah Hunter - Cal
QB Marcos Davila - Purdue
LB Marques Watson-Trent - Georgia Southern
DB Justyn Rhett - Georgia
DL Gabriel Moore - Mississippi State
CB Andrew Marshall - Idaho
DB Jamir Conn - Southern Illinois
DL Jaylen George - East Tennessee State
LS Kevin Gallic - New Hampshire
P Jack McCallister - Washington

Mr. Antri made it sound like the roster was depleted because players were jumping ship. There is a noticeable upgrade in incoming players. There are plenty that need to go before or after Spring practice. Have to get down to 105 by August.

Why do we need another thread on this shit? They are little brother, they are replacing most of their starers from a solid defense with the transfer portal. More questionable additions by Matty. Nebraska blows, their fans love to keep their family tree a stump, and the rest is history.

No one knows how good the additions will be. To be honest, some of the past transfers were busts. I didn't say they were great. We will find out later. Iowa probably needs to step up their game on the portal but yes I am aware that Iowa has dominated the series.

Uh, oh. ESPN disrespected the mighty Huskers.

"Case in point? ESPN’s “way-too-early” Top 25 rankings for the 2025 season dropped right after Ohio State clinched the national title over Notre Dame. While the Buckeyes predictably sit atop the list, Nebraska, who finished the season 7-6 overall, found itself in the “teams to consider” category—basically knocking on the door but not quite in the spotlight yet.

For a program with Nebraska’s legacy, being relegated to “honorable mention” status only adds fuel to the fire. Matt Rhule has a big job ahead, balancing recruiting, player development, and portal pickups to elevate Nebraska back to national prominence."

What a slap in the face!

Wonder what their NIL budget is and who the big donors are. Guess farming does pay. Who knew.
