The Super Bowl does not end in a tie so the regular season overtime rules are not in place correct?

What happens if 49ers took the opening OT kickoff for a TD, do they win it right there or does KC get a chance with the ball?

If KC kicks a FG to tie it at 22 all and match the 9ers OT FG then it is true sudden death OT from that point on correct?

If you listened to the ref at the coin toss you would have heard "both teams get a chance to score". The only difference between regular season OT is that it was a 15 minute period and if tied again they would do it again.

Each team gets one possession. If tied after those possessions, it's sudden death.

Tony Romo was saying something right before the game winning TD... That added to the confusion.

Something about how the clock didn't matter? I took it to mean that KC could finish their possession and the clock didn't matter... Like it was the end of a quarter...

It made everything confusing. They need to just go to college rules, but maybe start out further like the the 40 or 50.

If you listened to the ref at the coin toss you would have heard him say something to the effect of "we're starting over."

If the Chief didn't score that TD with a few seconds left on the clock, they would have just moved to the other end zone like it was the end of the 1st or 3rd quarter.
