While I, too, despise Syracuse and its loathsome coach, I was actually hoping the Orange would make it to MSG to face Iowa for the NIT title. That matchup would have drawn some attention, Syracuse would have brought a good crowd, and Iowa would have had the privilege of sending the 'Cuse home a loser. But no . . . they couldn't handle Ole Miss at home, so now there are no recognizable teams left in that bracket. Figures...
