OTT Hawkeye huddle (HWC)

Has anything been organized for a Hawkeye HWC Bar location where hawk fans can all meet during Olympic trials weekend? I was there 2 yrs. ago. Axeman Brewery was nice.

What kind of place are you looking for? Something in downtown State College or are you willing to drive outside of town? Dive Bar, or upscale Restaurant with a bar? Something in between? I'll try to make a few suggestions.

Probably the best bets are:
Doggie's Pub - Brews and decent pizza. Usually no line and elbow room inside
Champs - Big sports bar. Gets pretty crowded at night and lines develop
Local Whiskey - Whiskey bar. Smaller, fewer students. I'll be there
All of these are downtown and a walk from the BJC.
Happy Valley Brewing - short drive from downtown and BJC. Good food and drinks. Can get a little congested as the bar area is not large.

The loop buses will be running and all have a stop near the BJC. They are free to ride. The one going down Beaver Avenue will be a shorter ride to the BJC but neither will take very long.

American Ale House by toftrees is a great place not down town but big place to move around.

Another good option off campus is Otto’s.

Phyrst is a staple downtown that you need to check out.
