Watching the Michigan game, I was struck by how similar our O looked to Navy in the late 80's. Of course Luca Garza is not David Robinson, but the strategy (and personnel) sure looked familiar.

If we add the 3 ball to the gameplan, and play better defense, it might just work. Maybe a tourney berth is possible afterall?

If we are looking like a team from the 80s then we are doing it all wrong

There was a season in the 1980s where Al Lorenzen scored 10.6ppg for the Hawks...he was their 6th leading scorer. They averaged nearly 94ppg that year, and were 5th or 6th in the nation in scoring. They scored 100+ 6 times that year (87-88) and 90+ 11 times...in B1G play. Scored 100+ 15 times, 90+ 22 times, including a 100-81 win over eventual National Champ Kansas in Hawai'i.

If you like scoring, the late 80s was a great time to be a basketball fan.

Oh, and that team I mentioned above was 3rd in the B1G and made the Sweet 16.
