Our portal game is downright pathetic. Only team worse in the conf is Purdue. Our AD must get big corporate donors or add NIL fee to tickets.

Some fans love to dismiss Iowa's success vs Neb, Minny,Wis, NW, ISU and ILL as meaningless.

Go back to those gameday and think how you felt after winning( or losing to ISU) those games.

Did you enjoy that feeling?
Not meaningless if you did.
These are our peer programs, border rivals.
Why should Iowa beat them at a 90% clip over the last decade?
Imagine their frustration

Kf has flaws but he finds a way to keep Iowa ahead of our peer group and as a result fans like me get to bask in wins vs all my extended families in Neb, Minny, Wis, and ILL.

That is not really the issue, most fans realize that the schedule will not be Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota each year. Sure, winning those games is great, but, that is not the schedule going forward.

The college football landscape is changing whether you, Iowa fans, Kirk, Beth, etc. like it or not.

"Next: Mizzou."

------Let's hold off on that for a bit. No pass blocking, no star RB, issues in the secondary, superior HC on the other side. Just saying.

The last time I spoke to Nate I asked him if there was a QB coach on the team and he said that during the season you're pretty much on your own. So you are right in that sense.
That is what I was wondering. Our last few QBs as I recall did have many other offers including Georgia and other well respected programs. They seemed to all have good HS records and potential yet fizzled at Iowa. Sad that there has not been a good QB coach in a long time. That is a HUGE problem!

To elaborate on what he told me. The way I understood what he said was that the coaching he received in the off season was intense and focused on technique and such but once the season/games started the coach's were hesitant to meddle with/change his technique as that can many times have a negative effect. Unless there was an obvious flaw developing. I think that the individual is expected to seek some outside assistance in the off season. But I could be wrong.
