Does anyone know anything about the 14-16 field? The one team Ive seen is Cleveland St and I think they're somewhat live, would prefer another team over them.

Meh. I'd take them. Honestly, I've been watching these smaller conference tourneys to get an idea and really unless they're pulling 3 pt hero ball bullsh** out of their ass, we should beat whoever they line us up with because none of those teams have a singular answer for Garzilla.

They'd have to do the Middle Tennessee method of just jacking 3s and hope you hit enough to pull a win out of your ass.....(ala them a few years ago against MSU for context)

There’s been like 9 conference #1 seeds lose so the teams landing in the 15/16 range this year are going to be like the 3rd-6th best team in a weak conference. There will definitely be upsets but I can’t imagine they’ll be happening below the 13 seeds (no jinx, no jinx). Teams like Colgate and Western Kentucky if they get in will be challenges for the middle seeds.

This is true. To the original poster, of the current 15 seeds in Lundard's bracketology, Cleveland State would be the best according to Pomeroy, all of them in the 135-170-ish range on KenPom. These are not great teams, obviously, but they aren't complete tomato cans. It's why we do see 2-15 upsets if the 15 gets hot and weird stuff happens.

I will say the one that gives me pause is Iona. First I would hate having to distinguish the two words right next to each other.

But more importantly, they’re coached by Rick Pitino and something about that would just make me feel a bit uneasy.

How 'bout if Iowa played Iona in (Boise) Idaho? ;)

I'm pretty sure Jerry Tarkanian confirmed that Cleveland St. would be on probation for some time due to all those recruiting violations at Kentucky.
