Overnight RV parking

Happy spring ball everybody.

I’m an Indiana guy and my 10 yr old and I will be starting our third season of going to every home & away Hoosiers game this fall.

I like to plan early and I’m trying to get a handle on the RV parking situation in Iowa City.

Anyone have any intel on how they do overnight RV parking?

That’s just awesome and that reminds me of my dad taking me under his wings as a youngster and I would listen to WMT and WHO in our car back in the 80’s because living in New Jersey we would have to park the car on another street to get reception to listen to the Iowa games… somehow he always managed to get the games tuned in but with awful reception.. always kept us guessing as Jim Zabel was announcing back then and sometimes it would go out and we would be wondering if Iowa scored or not … it was brutal but we built such a bond and that’s how I ended up an Iowa fan and graduating from the UofI with a little brainwash from my dad… it was well worth it and man do I miss listening to the games with him and all the call in radio shows! Your son will thank you on the end … Go Hawks!

Never over night parked at a game before but this is what I found searching don’t know if it’s true hopefully someone who has experience can verify?

“For overnight parking before Iowa Hawkeye football games, RVs are allowed in designated lots (52, 73, and 75S) from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the night before games, with departure by 9:00 a.m. the following day.”

Shouldn't that read "with departure by 9 a.m. the following day after the game"?

They might change things a bit heading into the fall with more parking construction going on around campus, but it seems like the Finkbine Golf Course driving range or the softball parking lot would be the best options for folks without season parking passes.
