Federal prosecutors revealed on Thursday that Sean "Diddy" Combs may face a superseding indictment that would open the door to more charges for the hip-hop mogul beyond the sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering counts he's already facing.
The revelation from a federal prosecutor that the criminal case against the 54-year-old music icon could expand came as he made his first appearance in court and a federal judge set a trial date for May 5.
But as the hearing began, Combs was all smiles as he entered the courtroom in a tan jail-issued shirt and pants. His mother and his children sat behind him.

In a sprawling indictment unsealed last month, federal prosecutors allege the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment for decades used his empire to coerce his victims into sex in gatherings known as "freak-offs."
Combs was arrested in September after nearly a year of investigating by federal authorities. The day after his arrest, prosecutors unsealed a grand jury indictment. He has pleaded not guilty and denies the charges, and his lawyers said they are seeking a speedy trial.
U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian approved a May 5 trial date for Combs over April after his attorneys said they have piles of case documents and information to review.

Subramanian then asked the prosecution how long the trial would last.
Asst. U.S. Atty Emily Johnson initially said three weeks, but then cautioned that there could be a superseding indictment on the horizon. Superseding indictments can include additional charges, more defendants, or both. Marc Agnifilio, Combs' lead attorney, said he believed the defense would take a week to make their case in a trial.
Agnifilio then asked the judge to gag federal authorities from leaking to the media about the case, a charge he raised in a court filing Wednesday.

In the filing, Agnifilio wrote that the government, through Department of Homeland Security investigators, "engaged in a seven-month campaign ... strategically leaking confidential grand jury material and information, including the 2016 Intercontinental videotape, in order to prejudice the public and potential jurors against Mr. Combs."
Combs' attorneys sought to exclude evidence they said was leaked, such as a 2016 video showing Combs assaulting singer Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, his former girlfriend, in a hotel hallway.
Johnson countered Agnifilio's request wasn't about a gag order but was instead a move to exclude damning evidence, seemingly referencing the video without mentioning it specifically.
The video, obtained and published by CNN in March, shows Combs chasing Cassie down a hall of the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles, kicking her, striking her and throwing a vase at her before dragging her back to the door of a room. The footage, which quickly went viral, confirmed at least some of the physical abuse allegations against the singer detailed in a lawsuit filed in November of last year.

Both prosecutors and Combs' attorneys Thursday agreed not to speak to the media without a gag order being imposed.
The judge gave prosecutors until the end of the year to turn over evidence gathered in the case to the defense after prosecutors revealed they seized 96 devices when they searched him. Prosecutors searched Combs at a Florida airport and his homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March, and seized the phone he was carrying when he was arrested last month.

Johnson said prosecutors expect to extract data from the devices in the next 30 days, but current technology and encryption, along with some of the devices being older or damaged, are making that harder.

Sean "Diddy" Combs has been slammed with another lawsuit after a woman claimed he assaulted her with a remote control and gang raped her with his friends.
The woman, identified as Ashley Parham, alleged that the rapper also threatened her life and noted that he said he had gotten away with worse crimes like Tupac's death.
Diddy is currently behind bars awaiting trial in May 2025 for sex crimes but caused quite a stir as he took to social media to celebrate the second birthday of his daughter Love.

Woman Documents Alleged Sexual Assault At The Hands Of Diddy

The "Bad Boy For Life" crooner has found himself in another legal tussle over allegations of a physical altercation and sexual assault involving Ashley Parham.

According to the Daily Mail, the incident occurred in 2018 after she accused him of being involved in the unsolved 1996 murder of Tupac over FaceTime.
Parham claims in the $50 million lawsuit, filed in the District Court of Northern California, that she met one of Diddy's friends, Shane Pearce, at a bar in February that year.
Pearce and Diddy were speaking on the phone via FaceTime before she told the embattled rapper that she believed he had a hand in Tupac's demise. She claims Diddy seemingly threatened her that she would "pay" for the accusation.
Parham went on to note that Pearce invited her to his home in Orinda, near Oakland, about a month later, on March 23, 2018, after feigning he needed help with his cancer drugs "because he stated he was weak and unable to open his medications," but Diddy was there shortly after she arrived waiting to get back at her.

Parham claimed Diddy told her "she thought she would never see him in person" and held a knife to her face, threatening to cut her cheeks into a "Glasgow smile."
He was, however, interrupted by his assistant Kristina Khorram, who suggested that they could sell her for sex or ship her overseas, never to be heard from again.

The Rapper Has Been Accused Of Revenge-Raping Ashley Parham

According to the news outlet, she went further to claim that the "Finna Get Loose" rapper tore her clothes and covered her in "oil or lubricant" before he violently shoved a TV remote into her v-gina.
"Diddy, while violently raping [Parham] with a television remote, told Plaintiff that her life was in his hands and that if he wanted he could 'take her' and she would never be seen again," the court documents alleged.
When he was done raping her with the remote, he reportedly told Pearce to turn her on her stomach as her "blood-curdling cries" were getting to him.
She scampered to get herself to safety after pulling a knife and covering herself with a shirt, but Diddy allegedly blocked her, shocked she was still agile after giving her "enough drugs to take out a horse."

Ashley Parham Says Diddy Offered Her Money To Say The Incident Was Consensual

In her filing, Parham claimed Diddy offered her money to say the sex was consensual, but she refused and threatened to report to the police. However, the rapper allegedly told her nobody would believe her and threatened her family.
She further noted that Diddy said he had gotten away with worse crimes, referring to Tupac's murder. But he was interrupted by one of his men, who got upset by the revelation and drew a gun on Diddy, telling him to repeat himself.

Parham says she tried to grab the gun, but one thing led to another, and it went off, causing Diddy to take off. She then chased after him with a knife, prompting him to beg for his life when she caught him.
The filing claims Parham "raised the knife, in a rage from the events that just transpired and with the intent of driving the knife into Diddy's back" before he turned and begged. He was able to get away, and then she ran to the neighbors, asking for help.

The Woman Claims She Reported The Case To A Deputy Who Did Not 'Help' Her

In her lawsuit, Parham claims she reported the case to a deputy from Contra Costa Sheriff's Office, who responded to her 911 call, but that she was told the neighbors had called in noise compliments and advised her to "find a way to get home."

According to the Daily Mail, Parham said the officer "did not offer to take [her] home, nor did he call for emergency services including an ambulance, nor any offer to take [her] to the hospital, nor any offer to help [her] recover her clothes or effects."

She was able to see a doctor after a few days, where she was administered a rape kit, after which she called the local Walnut Creek Police.

However, when she needed to give her statement, she couldn't name Diddy because she was afraid. She also claimed to have reported the case to the Orinda Police Department but, again, was scared "to name Defendant Diddy as one of her assailants."

Parham is suing for sexual assault and battery, abuse, false imprisonment, and kidnapping, demanding a trial by jury. Parham also accused Diddy's assistant, Khorram, of assisting his "predatory sexual behavior and proclivities" and also "assisting in covering up the crime thereafter."

She accused Pearce of being one of the rapists and accused him of luring her to his house to be raped by the rapper.

Diddy Awaits Trial Behind Bars, Claims He Is Innocent

Diddy has since been arrested on September 16 by Homeland Security officers following a grand jury indictment.

He's currently locked up at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Diddy has, however, maintained his innocence on all charges and would stand to prove his case in court. He has been denied bail the times already as authorities consider him a flight risk, as well as his potential interference with investigations by coercing witnesses with his celebrity status. He's billed to go on trial in May 2025.

Meanwhile, the "No Way Out" recently caused a stir online when he took to social media to mark his daughter Love's second birthday, whom he shares with ex Dana Tran.

I hope we get names of others and they get indicted for participating in this rapes. Hollywood has so many sick people that selfishly keep their mouths shut to protect their own ability to be famous.
Couldn't agree more. I know that lawyer said people's jaws will drop when they see some of the names involved with this shit over the years. It'll be interesting to see how this goes.

I don't know about this one. As horrible as Diddy is, I have a hard time believing he'd use a term like "Glasgow smile" or that he'd admit to Tupac's murder to a stranger he's r&ping, and in front of other guys who didn't already know.

This one definitely seems a bit far fetched. However, this whole ordeal is pretty bizarre so, who knows.

I'm guessing he's used the term glasgow smile more than once. He had a thing for The Joker character.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs named in 7 new lawsuits; other celebrities allegedly involved

Seven new civil lawsuits have been filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs, including two from accusers who say they were minors at the time they were allegedly drugged and assaulted by the music producer.
For the first time in a year-long wave of litigation against Combs, other celebrities are cited and accused of participating in an alleged assault, though they are not identified by name.
In a lawsuit filed by one Jane Doe, she states she was 13 in 2000, when she was invited by a limo driver to attend an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty thrown by Combs in New York City. After consuming a beverage, Doe’s complaint states she felt drowsy, and she looked for a place to lay down. Combs, joined by an unnamed male celebrity and an unnamed female celebrity, came into the bedroom where she was resting.

“You are ready to party!” Combs told Doe, according to her complaint.
The unnamed male celebrity proceeded to rape Doe, her lawsuit states, while Combs and the unnamed female celebrity watched. Combs then raped Doe as the other two celebrities watched, according to her lawsuit.
When reached for comment, representatives for Combs referred CNN to a previous statement from his attorneys in which they denied the allegations in six other lawsuits filed last week.
“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process,” Combs’ attorneys said in the statement. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”

The newest lawsuits, five of which were filed in federal court in New York and two in New York Superior Court on Monday, include allegations of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, battery, or false imprisonment by Combs between 2000 and 2022 in New York, Los Angeles or Las Vegas. All alleged incidents occurred at parties that were allegedly hosted by Combs.
Three plaintiffs are women and four are men, submitted as either Jane Doe or John Doe. All but one allege they were drugged by Combs.
Another accuser states in his claim that he was a 17-year-old aspiring artist in 2022, when he was allegedly drugged at a party and sexually assaulted by Combs, who offered him a drink and “assured Doe that he could make him a star.”
Monday’s lawsuits join others against Combs filed last week by Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee and co-counsel Andrew Van Arsdale, who previously said they were representing at least 120 alleged victims of Combs, including minors.

Federal prosecutors have accused Combs of orchestrating a “criminal enterprise” through his business empire that engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping and decades of physical abuse against women, among other allegations. He has pleaded not guilty to federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Combs is being held in custody in New York as he awaits trial, set to begin in May.
Over the weekend, his attorneys asked the judge overseeing his federal case to issue an order to prohibit potential witnesses and their attorneys from speaking about the allegations against Combs.
“This Court should exercise its discretion in issuing an order requiring all potential witnesses and their counsel to refrain from making extrajudicial statements that have a substantial likelihood to interfere with Mr. Combs’s trial or otherwise prejudice the due administration of justice,” Combs’ lawyers wrote to the judge.

Since November 2023, at least 25 civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs with allegations of sexual assault or misconduct. The initial lawsuit, filed by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, was settled the next day. The other cases remain active.
Combs has denied the allegations.
Prosecutors have said their criminal investigation is ongoing and additional charges or defendants could be added in a possible superseding indictment.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Accused of Dangling Woman Over 17th-Floor Balcony at Cassie’s Apartment

Fashion designer Bryana "Bana" Bongolan is seeking $10 million in damages from the disgraced music mogul for the emotional distress she claims she suffered at his hand

A woman has accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of dangling her over the 17th-floor balcony of his ex Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s apartment.
Bryana “Bana” Bongolan filed a 17-page lawsuit against Combs — who is currently awaiting trial after pleading not guilty and being denied bail — this week in Los Angeles for sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and other claims, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The fashion designer is seeking $10 million in damages from the disgraced music mogul, 55, for the emotional distress that she claims she suffered, citing the balcony incident, among others.
Related: New Lawsuits Allege Diddy's 'Pervasive Pattern of Abuse Toward Women, Men and Minors': 'Shockingly Typical'
A legal representative for Combs denied Bongolan’s allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone.
"Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have. Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims,” the rep said. “Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”

Bongolan — who first befriended Ventura, 38, while they worked together in 2014 — claims that, while she and her then-girlfriend were sleeping over at the singer’s apartment in September 2016, Combs approached her on the balcony after loudly entering the apartment in the early morning.
“He grabbed her, turned her back to his chest, and molested her by groping her breasts as she yelled to be left alone,” the lawsuit claims. After Bongolan began to struggle, Combs moved his hands from her breasts to her armpits and placed her on the banister of the 17-story balcony while repeatedly yelling, “Do you know what the **** you did!”
Bongolan, who was 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighed about 100 lbs. at the time, “attempted to resist him, throwing her weight back in a struggle not to be thrown to the ground and what would likely be her death,” but Combs “easily overpowered her again,” the lawsuit claims.

After Ventura emerged, she allegedly screamed at Combs to stop and informed him that Bongolan’s then-girlfriend was also in the apartment.
Combs then pulled Bongolan back over the balcony but did not release her, and instead “slammed Ms. Bongolan onto the balcony's patio furniture, including a table,” the lawsuit claims. Bongolan said that she did not and still does not know what Combs believed she did.
Also in the lawsuit, Bongolan claims she observed both “disturbing signs of an abusive relationship” and actual incidents of abuse between Ventura and Combs prior to the balcony incident — including one in which the music mogul threw a “large kitchen knife” at his then-girlfriend, “who, acting in self-defense, threw one back at him."

Bongolan also alleges that she suffered “terror and abuse” at Combs’ hands throughout their professional relationship, which began after he approached the then-aspiring designer to collaborate on a series of design projects, including a clothing line and album cover art.

This “closer working relationship not only did not lead to the career jump off for which she had hoped, but instead forced Plaintiff to experience Mr. Combs' violence and abuse firsthand in professional settings as well,” with the producer “directing his rage” at Bongolan, the lawsuit alleges.

The designer cited several instances, including a trip in which Combs “became aggressive” and “forcibly fed” her a drug she now believes was ecstasy and a photo shoot in which he cornered her to say, “I'm the motherf------ devil. You have no idea what I could do to you. I could kill you.”
Bongolan took Combs' threat seriously, citing not only his treatment of Ventura but also her knowledge that rapper Kid Cudi’s car exploded after he dated the singer while she and Combs were separated. The designer also heard rumors that the Bad Boy Records founder “skinned a rival's dog,” the lawsuit alleges.
The September 2016 balcony incident proved that Bongolan had been “correct to fear” Combs, she says, and led her to believe that he was finally “making good on his threats.”
Bongolan is entitled to damages, the lawsuit claims, because she “has suffered, and continues to suffer, injuries and damages including physical injury, and mental and emotional distress” as a result of Combs' conduct.

Combs is currently jailed at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, where he is awaiting trial. Last month, he was denied bail for a third time since his September arrest.
In September, he was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. The indictment primarily centers around "freak offs," which authorities allege were elaborate sex performances involving male sex workers and women who were forced or coerced into participating.

I saw that. My question is (and I'm sure it will come across to some as "victim-blaming"), why was a 13 year old at a video music awards after party? That doesn't really seem like the kind of scene children should be allowed to be a part of. There wasn't anyone at this party who was like "Hey, whose kid is this? Someone take your kid home!", and kick them out of the party.

I've been to parties before (humblebrag!), and it would've been weird if a bunch of us adults were hanging out drinking and having fun, and there's this kid wandering around the party, trying to hang out with us.

Wait, JZ and his wife, what’s-her-name, both endorsed somebody for president also. Hmmmmmmm. Pizza gate still debunked?
Near as I can tell, celebrities have a system for ordering children to have sex with, but, because it wasn't actually through a pizza parlor, we are.all supposed to laugh at the people who told us about it as ragging idiots.
