GREEN BAY — The Sports Illustrated spotlight shines this week on Packers DT Mike Daniels, who is one of four rising stars featured on the regional covers of SI’s NFL preview issue.
The story centers on four rising stars who have taken advantage of the changes in the game to become the best at their positions.
Daniels, a former fourth-round pick who was labeled by some as too small to be an every-down NFL lineman, had 66 tackles and four sacks for the Packers last season.
He also finished third on the defense with 12 quarterback hits and second in total pressures (22). For his efforts, Daniels earned an extension in December and debuted at No. 95 in the NFL Network’s ‘Top 100’ list earlier this summer.
