Paolo Ciatto commits to Iowa

Having guys like Kerk, Haines, DT, Ed Ruth, Wright, Nickal, Zane, Nolf, Hall etc. helps too. I really don't know why anyone is surprised that Iowa is still getting their ass kicked in recruiting. Tom has destroyed Iowa. Period.

The point is to have enough IQ/EQ to not dump on anyone who isn't a blue chip that commits - realizing that it's not an either/or situation. There is a time and place to gripe about recruiting, but not where you should be congratulating a new addition to the team.

If we miss on Bo. Jax, Raney twins, and Ross, and McMullen and Ciatto are our only 2016 recruits, then your opinion would be more valid. I think the large class that Riggins was in was the last class that didn’t have at least one blue chip recruit.

Well it is par for the course around here, Every new kid who signs who may not be blue chip, we get the same shEEEt !!!

It is kinda old and also kinda stupid at this point really!!! We have been over it, wish the kid well! tell him good luck, chase your dreams, welcome aboard etc.......

I am guessing most of us would give our right nut to be him right now! Young man heading to IOWA-WRESTLE-TOWN USA!!!! Not sure how it gets any better then that?????

None of these guys were even close to a blue chip recruit. It takes more than blue chippers to build a good roster. You need good teammates, good people, good academics, and good practice partners to effectively build a good room/culture.

Guys like Paul Glynn are some of the unspoken heroes of programs. A lot of our stud lightweights raved about him as a practice partner and teammate.

Exactly why I posted WS link. Most think they just have blue chip guys that's not true at all

I don't agree that Brands has destroyed Iowa. What is clear is that Cael's recruiting of top tier HS wrestlers surpasses everyone else.

I don’t see PSU bringing in "room guys". Their worst recruit this season is Dalton Perry who was a Super 32 runner up and PA State champ. That is scary. I follow high school wrestling hard and pay attention to recruiting. That's why I feel like I can speak on recruiting and potential recruits. With that being said Go Hawks!

Literally everyone I have ever spoken to about him praises his character!

Is he going to be a big time contributor on the mat? That is doubtful!

But he is never going to embarrass the program; and will give you 110% percent and help make he stars around him better prepared!!

That’s very tough to believe given you’re on here claiming PSU doesn’t have room guys and that guys outside the top 30 are big recruits. It was during Fargo this year, by the way.

Like seriously you won’t even own up to your ridiculous statement about PSU. How silly is that?
