I've asked this once before, what is the best way to park? Just show up early on Saturday and park somewhere? Buy a parking pass in advance? Thanks.

The official parking partner around Lucas Oil Stadium for several parking lots/garages. You can book in advance at a set rate and you are guaranteed parking. If you choose not to, expect to pay higher rates the day of :)
I've used Park Whiz in several cities and it's always worked well. Almost always cheaper and it's like reserving a spot in advance.

Parking will not be a problem. There are plenty of garages etc. downtown. If you are willing to walk you may find street parking. You may even be lucky and find street parking close to Lucas Oil. There is a parking garage close to Bankers Life field house that is avaiable on Stub Hub that I would not suggest, too far. Even though it says it is .6 miles from he stadium, which may be true. I found street parking 15 blocks or less from Lucas Oil when the Super Bowl was here and when numerous Final Fours were here. It is probably difficult to understand but this is just another big sporting event in town. Unless you are in a tailgating next to the stadium $25 dollars to park is too much. $20.00 dollars is probably standard special event parking 4 blocks from the stadium.

Do you have to book it for a certain time, or can you just show up whenever you want to?

Seems kind of weird. If everyone books for, say, 3:00, is the garage just empty until that time, in order to guarantee everyone a spot? Or can only one person reserve a spot per day, leaving it empty until people actually show up?

Needing to be there at a certain time seems kind of constraining.

Each lot has time limits on it, which likely factors into the price. For instance, the spot I grabbed just west of Lucas Oil for 20 bucks is open from 215 pm to 4 hours after the game. Excited to use it and see how well it works. Can't believe more places don't do this. Seems like a much more convenient method.

What happens if the person in your spot doesn't move their car by 2:15?

I used Park Whiz and there is a promo code TG50 that will give you the parking for free. I got a space 3 blocks from the stadium that was originally $35

There are many lots with open parking just south of Lucas Oil stadium. I have been to the Big 10 Championship game a couple times never had any problems finding parking just a short walk away.

Thanks wapsie, and a bump for that promo code, which is worth up to $50! Booked a $55 lot right next to Lucas Oil for $5.

Uber for me as my hotel is about 10 miles away and I plan on feeling zero pain!

My plan as well. Unless you plan to tailgate or plan to head home after the game Saturday night I don't see a reason for driving downtown.
I've done Uber in Indy for a convention downtown, we stayed 10 minutes out. It was $22.00. There is zero hassle with this option. They pick you up at the hotel and there's tons of options for rides. As for tailgating, I'm not sure to what extent you want to do but take food & drink with you as long as it's all disposable before you go into the games. It's very similar to downtown MSP if you've been to any event there. Bars and restaurants everywhere.

Thanks for this. Just booked my spot in the E. Maryland St ramp for free. We are going to sports bars for a while before the game so this is where I was going to park anyway. You just saved me $20. Thanks!
