The 2017 UDFA was hyped as a roster possibility for most of the summer before getting let go at final cuts. He's now back in time for Week 1 and could see immediate snaps in the slot.

Who plays him in that movie? Tom cruise probably. Bein 5 foot nothing and all.Riley McCarron would be an amazing story.
Bummer, and especially frustrating on a personal level as I played the NE D/ST this week in my fantasy league.Riley McCarron failed to corral his lone target in the Patriots' Week 1 win over the Texans.
More concerningly, McCarron muffed a punt at this own 16-yard line. That's the sort of gaffe that could get McCarron released on Monday.
McCarron made his own bed, failing to catch his lone target and muffing a punt at the Patriots' 16-yard line in the team's Week 1 win over the Texans.

Did he get released again? Or is everyone replying to the thread from last week?

It’s a tough blow, for sure. Was worried when I saw the Patriots’ box score from the game. Its a brutal business. Cut, signed to PS. added to roster, played 1st NFL game, released … all within the span of about 10 days. One big mistake may have sealed his fate. Its like having a life long dream to be a fireman, preparing and training or years, finally getting on the waiting list, promoted to active duty, going through accelerated orientation, and then botching the ladder placement during an emergency rescue the 1st day on the job. Hope McCarron gets a 2nd chance.

Biggest mistake the Patriots have ever made.
