In regards to unit chemistry, team mentality and overall Hawkeye readiness, I believe Iowa struck gold with the Paulsen Bros.

Regardless of how they turn out from a talent standpoint, the unique "brothership" that these two will bring to the team is going to pay big dividends over the coming years.

Brothership mentality is a very contagious thing.

Agree here. It's still up in the air, whether the Twins become Pillars on the
HAWKEYE Offensive line, however, they're recruitment, positive attitude around the team is
a Winner, to be sure. Great to have these guys in HAWKEYE BLACK and GOLD.

Go Hawks :)

These brothers have the personality and size. If they both prove out this is a big thing for Iowa. You get a back running for big yards behind the future o- line with these boys anchoring it there will be a lot of exposure. Make 'em nasty Brian.

What I've heard is that the Paulson boys are freakish physically ... however, they still have a ways to go developmental-wise (technique-wise, footwork, knowledge, you name it). The good news is that they're definitely willing to work. However, past that ... I've frankly heard more buzz about Waechter at OT ... because ultimately, within a zone-blocking scheme, there's a lot more about the position than just being huge. To that end, Waechter has benefited from being a coaches kid and, consequently, he likely has an above average football IQ.
I believe his Uncle Henry played for the Bears and scored the first defensive points (safety) on record in a Super Bowl. Have heard great things about this player.

From interviews, they seem grounded and humble. They also give you a sense of an Iowa workmanlike attitude. With these traits, and also being large and wrestlers as well, they have the ground floor of being good linemen. The ceiling is high for these 2 for sure.

Might have a monster line in the future, with the Paulsens at 315 now, and Ferguson at 317.

It would certainly be exciting to see these two both getting drafted high in the same NFL draft. Probably won't happen, but if they have any talent what-so-ever...they'll get a good shot.
