So, he can't be a major contributor this season because he has 3 more seasons? It's one game. He's still learning and making great strides. He'll be a major contributor over the next 3 years.

Weird or not. The dude has good college basketball info.Jon Rothstein is fvcking weird
Not really. He states the obvious. He was also really high on Dom Uhl fwiwWeird or not. The dude has good college basketball info.
Eh, he has good info in regards to transfers and scheduling. Not really. He states the obvious. He was also really high on Dom Uhl fwiw
He has been getting better, and if Iowa makes the dance, it'll need him because of the quick turnaround games. Iowa is building nice depth, and a variety of skills in that depth.Well I’ve seen him a few times this year and for the most part he’s active and doesn’t shy away from hitting the glass. Sometimes his shots are dropping but when they don’t he works the boards and plays D. I get the young thing but he contributes. Just sayin.
Didn't say that, did I? I said "It's one game. He's still learning and making great strides." What I didn't say but could have is that he's not there yet. I don't know if anyone else noticed but after he was in for about 3 minutes, he appeared to be asking to come out. The guy is leaving it all on the floor and getting gassed fairly quickly. That is pretty normal for most freshmen. He'll be ready for longer minutes next year. So, he can't be a major contributor this season because he has 3 more seasons?
Sometimes, he rushes his shot. Sometimes, so does JBO. Too much of a premium on, "Wow, he gets his shot off quick -- makes it hard to block."Payton has perfect form on his shot. He will be a force to reckon with in the years to come.
whoa, slow down there, chief. if our history has shown us anything under fran, it's we only need 2 (maybe) games worth of depth, unfortunately. He has been getting better, and if Iowa makes the dance, it'll need him because of the quick turnaround games. I have the same feeling about Sandfort as I had about Jok as a freshman, when everyone complained Jok was out of shape and questioned his potential. Sandfort has an absolutely perfect shot, best looking since Jok (sorry, Jbo & Weiskamp). And he's shown versatility in shooting, its not all 3 points shots, although that's obviously his strength. Moreover, I think he may be the best passer on the team, or maybe second behind Connor. He's just going to have a fabulous career, I think we got another Fran special.Love his potential. GREAT shooter.. .and good enough instincts and athleticism to defend and rebound for his position. I'm going to predict he finishes up right behind Bohannon on the all-time 3 point record list. He also needs more playing time now. Kid needs to play 15-20 minutes a game.
Guard depth can't hurt. This team needs a lot of depth there if they are going to press their way to the sweet 16.whoa, slow down there, chief. if our history has shown us anything under fran, it's we only need 2 (maybe) games worth of depth, unfortunately.
We all were for about a second. Not really. He states the obvious. He was also really high on Dom Uhl fwiw
Dom was high for well over a second. We all were for about a second.
Peter jok says hiI have never seen a quicker one that is so consistent.
Maybe. Still a long way to go between his 24 made three's and Horner's 262 makes, (who I believe is number 2 at iowa). Yes I think he's earned a few more minutes, BUT here's the rub that everyone seems to be dancing around. Basically he's a 3 or maybe a 4. In those spots you have Keegan, (no brainer), and Pat who is really coming on. Then you have Kris who everyone wants to see play more. Yes the twins can play some 5 against certain lineups but probably not against Michigan, Purdue, or Illinois. Who's minutes does PS take? 20 minutes? How? Then we hear the play PS or Kris at the 2 spot. Just don't think they , especially PS could defend the 2 without getting destroyed.Love his potential. Oh man. I had forgotten about Dom Uhl. His career was very forgettable. Showed flashes of a solid game but never put it all together. Not really. He states the obvious. He was also really high on Dom Uhl fwiw
Dude there's no way. Jordan played extensively as a freshman and is around for his sixth season.Love his potential. He said BEHIND Jbo. I take his comment "right behind" to mean the #2 spot. That would be Jeff Horner's spot at 262 made three's, which is doable, but he needs 238 more three's in just over 3 seasons. He'll need to make basically two per game the rest of his career IF he plays 20-25 minutes per the next three seasons I think he'll have a shot at that. We know he's going to take his shots when he's out there.Dude there's no way. Jordan played extensively as a freshman and is around for his sixth season.
Already have.Maybe. Still a long way to go between his 24 made three's and Horner's 262 makes, (who I believe is number 2 at iowa). Glad he's not playing for the Utah Utes! That is a crazy shooting display.
Looked like a little editing, but still very impressive. He does have a beautiful release.
