It's amazing the misfortune that program has experienced this season. Shame for Riley, as he seems like a pretty nice guy, but then so was Job, I guess...Rock bottom - When you lose one of your best remaining players celebrating a touchdown in a loss to Purdue. Ouch.
When it rains it pours................ BUT MAN IS THIS FUN TO WATCH!!!!
We still need to beat Nebraska....just sayin.
That said.........coaches REALLY need to emphasize to their players, going forward, to exercise a bit more restraint/safety in how they celebrate.
I mean this is getting kind of ridiculous now. What is it, at least 5-6 players, in college alone (there's been a few in the pros too for f*** sake) have been lost to season-ending injuries...........for celebrating a play by jumping up and down. Come on now.
The two worst are:
- hey let's jump and twist high in the air and chest/hip bump and potentially risk landing awkwardly.....what could go wrong- oh wait.
- hey a guy just got slammed into high after a big play and looks like he's a little shaken up (maybe even concussed).........let's f***ing smack him on the helmet a bunch of times to tell him what a good job he did. (yes, I've seen this happen)
I celebrate no injuries friend of foe...but I'm glad he won't be returning punts against Iowa this year, nor playing on offense.
I could be wrong but I took it as watching Nebraska lose is fun to watch. I didn't think he meant players getting hurt. But then again, I didn't take anyone on this thread celebrating injuries. More like wow I can't believe their bad luck.Watching kids get injured is fun to watch? What the hell is wrong with some of you?
Is there a clip of the injury somewhere?

"You can do it!!"It happened at the end of his tumbling run. The tuck looked good, but he failed to stick the landing.
