Rock bottom - When you lose one of your best remaining players celebrating a touchdown in a loss to Purdue. Ouch.

It's amazing the misfortune that program has experienced this season. Shame for Riley, as he seems like a pretty nice guy, but then so was Job, I guess...

During the game , when it occurred, they said it was pretty graphic and chose not to show it,
Torn sumpin and fractured sumpin.

Sorry if my first post here in like...12 years...sounded like your dad......
I hate Nebraska.......I'm a HAWKEYE living in Nebraska.....but overjoying about a 19 year old getting injured like that......that's just pathetic.

We still need to beat Nebraska....just sayin.

That said.........coaches REALLY need to emphasize to their players, going forward, to exercise a bit more restraint/safety in how they celebrate.

I mean this is getting kind of ridiculous now. What is it, at least 5-6 players, in college alone (there's been a few in the pros too for f*** sake) have been lost to season-ending injuries...........for celebrating a play by jumping up and down. Come on now.

The two worst are:
- hey let's jump and twist high in the air and chest/hip bump and potentially risk landing awkwardly.....what could go wrong- oh wait.
- hey a guy just got slammed into high after a big play and looks like he's a little shaken up (maybe even concussed).........let's f***ing smack him on the helmet a bunch of times to tell him what a good job he did. (yes, I've seen this happen)

I celebrate no injuries friend of foe...but I'm glad he won't be returning punts against Iowa this year, nor playing on offense.

Yeah looked pretty bad when I saw it happen so Im not really surprised at all. Too bad as you never like to see any player hurt but just makes a bad season even worse for them.

Watching kids get injured is fun to watch? What the hell is wrong with some of you?
I could be wrong but I took it as watching Nebraska lose is fun to watch. I didn't think he meant players getting hurt. But then again, I didn't take anyone on this thread celebrating injuries. More like wow I can't believe their bad luck.

I wish he was 100% and playing. I really believe what Iowa has done/changed in regards to punting was a direct result of the 2014 Nebraska game. I think it has worked so far and would've worked on him.

That still tells you most of what you need to know.

As far as the head pounding, I saw that happen to Cutler on Sunday after he bulldozed the safety head first for the TD. You could tell by his eyes that his marbles were rolling in random directions and meantime the big fat guys were all pounding him on the head.

He is an excellent athlete that has worked very hard. I feel bad for the guy to get hurt like that - it's a shame. Hopefully he is back to 100% soon so he can fully participate in the diaper fire that is Husker Football.

It's the work of the ANTDHG.

He wasn't "celebrating" but merely running along back of end zone when his knee gave out.
