Team shot terrible and lost by 11 to the number one team in the country and there's people on here that have lost hope in this team already. Sure it was disappointing but nothing has changed since yesterday. This was and is a defense challenged team with a terrific offense. They had a tough shooting day and that's going to happen which is why this defense is so concerning. Nonetheless, it was one freaking game against a great team. Some tweaks are needed but they still scored almost 90 points. Iowa is still one of the top teams in the country this year and it's gonna be a special year. Get a grip people.

Iowa is still a very good team and one I’m excited to watch this year. There will be amazing wins and some heartbreakers, but it will be a fun ride. I hope they learn from this game and use those lessons to challenge for the BT title.
Tell you what, the Zags are a fantastic team. No doubt about it.
Just don't understand how we cannot seem to guard the perimeter or grab rebounds.. it's a chronic issue that doesn't seem to get addressed.
But...a ton of games left in the conference to [hopefully] dominate.

1) fewer minutes for Patrick and Jordan
2) more for Keegan & Joe T
3) Nunge - shoot 100 3's in practice

I don’t know of too many other players on the team who get in this many Twitter arguments than Bohannon. So unfortunately if you want the attention when things are going well you are gonna get attacked when things go badly.
JBo is almost 23-years old (not a kid by any means), and actively creates/sculpts a public personae for himself. You could make an easy case that he actively seeks attention for his "brand" and thrives on being a public figure. And that's fine. God bless him. But, if he wants to be a public brand, he has to be willing to take public criticism.

This unfortunately. If you want to be the hero, and get all the acclaim for signing your shoes and leaving them at half court at Hilton, then you need to have a thick enough skin when you don't play well and get called out for that. NO people should not be calling out college kids, but if he's going to be constantly playing to that audience, then he's going to get it both ways.....

Gonzaga was overplaying the drop in pass and wish the Hawks had more cuts out and back to the hoop to keep them from overplaying the passing lane like they did. Iowa fixed this too late but if they meet up with Zaga in the tourney, I’m sure JBo and the Hawks will pass and shoot better.

I guarantee JBo is harder on himself than any coach, teammate, or fan. And while staying of Twitter is not a bad idea, I hope JBo knows that most Hawk fans have his back and are pulling hard for him. He won’t be in a funk all season.
I was told by someone in the program that the team wants JBo to STFU and just play. However, if you are tweeting at a college athlete you are a goddamn loser.

Defense really wasn't the problem yesterday ....better D would have been nice but it wasn't the reason for the L. As in most high profile games it comes down to shooting. The Hawks had a rough day shooting ....it can happen to any team at any time. The Zags will probably lose a game this season ...ya know why ....they will have a game that they will shoot poorly ....it happens to everyone eventually. Lets not say stupid thing like we are a bunch of little kids. lets be supportive and hope we get another shot at them later ....I'm guessing we wont shoot that poorly next time!!
Not sure I’d go as far as throwing out cell phones altogether, however the social media thing has been a disaster for the most part. Opened up a whole generation of internet tough guys and whining babies

OMG! It's one loss to the #1 team in the country! They've already beaten #6 Kansas by 12, a decent Auburn team by 23 and #11 WVU by 5. Suggs had the game of his career (so far) and we hung with them to the end. Three things changed the outcome of this game to me:
(1) Seemed like every long rebound went directly to them. Even when we had them boxed out, the ball went over our heads to a Zag player. It wasn't lack of hustle on our part, it was luck. It happens.
(2) We shot the three ball like shit and they didn't. We shoot our normal % and we very likely win the game. Once again, a certain amount of luck involved, but mainly just an off night.
(3) We missed our FT's. We are not a 53% FT shooting team. Another slightly off component to our game. They all added up.
Fortunately, McCaffery won't panic like so many on this board, and will go back to work preparing for Purdue. And for all of you who felt Iowa was going to go undefeated, you would save yourself a lot of mental anguish and hop off the bandwagon right now.

Heck I would argue the loss may have been good for them ! Rather see a loss to the top team in the country and work on some elements that were exposed, rather than beat up another cupcake that doesn’t improve the team one bit. A little humility can go a long way
