To be fair, that just brings all state resources to bear. States are closing schools early or completely in an effort to deal with the traffic that is expected. I don't think - I hope - that even an idiot like Huckabee thinks the eclipse itself presents some danger.
This is the life we live. It’s not just Republicans you know. My grandkids, in a Democratic City / state can’t go out for recess. It’s just society in general, possibly a sign of the lack of intelligence of the human race, or the litigation happy.

She's being prepared in case there is an issue with the millions of people that will be traveling at the same time. FYI, the eclipse path will barely skirt Little Rock. The bulk of the path in Arkansas will be over national forest areas. There will be some crowds at a few state parks, but let’s stop with the hysteria. Its traffic. I don’t see Kim declaring an emergency for Iowa football games.

The emergency declaration starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
