Perkins at point

Make the switch.
Let Ulis spell him.
Sandfort at the 2, starting.
I know. People like Sandfort off the bench, but it's March.
Take no prisoners time.

Ulis is a 15 mpg type talent. The problem with him starting is Fran is pretty dogmatic about playing starters North of 20 mpg. The defense/rebounding gets better with Perkins at point and bigger lineup and offense is better. That said, Ulis played okay vs indiana.

As is often repeated, it doesn't matter who starts as much as who finishes. Sandfort got more minutes tonight than Ulis.

I still think PMac gets way too many minutes. Dix played 1/4 of what he did tonight and outscored him. PMac is like playing 4 on 5 - on both ends of the court.
Patrick is struggling big time.

He would do so much better to cut out most of his dribbling.

Just shoot and cut.

Perk was at his best off the cut or coming off a curl screen. Can’t do that as much as a PG. Sandfort may come off the bench but he’s one of our closers now.

I like the Ulis, Perkins, backcourt. They play well together, and the team plays well with them in together. Ulis is a really good ball handler, and that lets Tony have the freedom to get his shots, whether it's of the dribble or off the cut to the basket.
We have defensive minded, athletic guards. Lol, seriously.
I think Ulis plays good D and he always busts his ass.

Who replaces PMac's 2 turnovers, 0 rebounds and 0 assists in 16 minutes?

I would say keep them at their same positions but a little less dribbling by Ulis. More screening and passing. I agree with you that Sandfort could come in a few minutes earlier each half with Connor and Perkins still on the floor.

Tony P ends up doing a lot of the dribbling and penetration each possession anyway.

Ulis is ok for his drives into the lane but he doesnt quite get the bucket or assist very often. I really hope he can up his scoring and assist game for next year.
