Pete Moe (was a 2022 PF) is Reclassifying to 2023

Maybe coaches realize he is in Fran’s backyard and will not bother to try.

I watched the game at Liberty. He was bigger and stronger than anyone that Liberty could throw out to defend him.

He did headbutt the ball for a tech after a layup.

What position would he play in college? Doesn’t look like he would fit well in Iowa’s offense imo

He plays with Fran's kid and Fran won't touch him. Watch him live and you will see - he is a HUGE douche on the court with his antics and attitude. There is a reason that he has no decent offers.
I’ve wondered of that could be a reason. Wasn’t his dad in trouble with the law just a few short years ago? I’m guessing his antics come naturally.

Just checked. He still has a 0 Division I offers.

And every time Fran and Coach Taylor go to watch their sons play in high school games, they also get to watch Pete.

On Sep 27, according to Rivals, there were 6 schools which had shown interest.

There are still 6 schools (the same 6).

Iowa
Air Force
Belmont
Lipscomb
South Dakota
South Dakota State

In this article from June 26, Pete said the next step was to get in front of college coaches, which is something he had not been able to do since his game took a significant leap. That meant that July was going to be a critical month as college coaches got to see him play at AAU events.

Moe said he recently took a visit to Air Force and he is also getting interest from Belmont, Lipscomb, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and North Dakota. He’s also hearing from the school where his dad was once a star.

“Iowa says they are going to be watching me in July and see how I play. With Coach McCaffery and Coach Taylor’s sons on my high school team I see them often and talk to them a little bit.”

The FULL Story:

you mean douchier than Fran is on the bench?

Jeff Moe is still the name I call other players that you hate on the other team , but you would love them if they were on your team.
To bad his kid is missing something

I have seen him play. He is a fiery competitor, which I think is a good quality. He is a bit undersized for a big ten post, and not really athletic enough to play on the wing in the Big Ten. He is an outstanding high school player. I would be surprised if UNI and Drake are not giving him a look. I have no idea what is academics look like and perhaps that could be a factor.

Maybe another Murray situation (I’d Thales that!). Send him to preparatory school and allow him to mature for a year.

I will say this once more....Anyone that thinks McCaffery is a loose cannon on the sidelines must not watch any other basketball and has an agenda to make Fran look bad. He is probably in the lower half of the conference in regard to sideline ballistics now. The year Pat had his cancer surgery seemed to be the turning point for McCaffery.

A lot of it has to do with who is on his team too. He seems to defend his players and work the refs more when he has younger/more inexperienced teams than when his teams consist of vets

How many other coaches have been suspended multiple games for their actions?

To quickly name two - Tom Crean and Tom Izzo. Watch and compare and it's not even close. And if you're offended by the F' bomb well, grow up.

Except Fran did throw quite a fit at OSU after CMAC got a technical and said the M'efer refs stole the game when in reality his team didn't play defense and got torchd by opponents wide open 3pt looks. Fran got suspended on after that game...I'm not aware of many B1G coaches getting suspended. Fran has had a couple relatively calm years, probably now in his contract to behave better.

Fran has qualities, sometimes losing contorl and throwing a chair or calling a ref a m'efer is not a good look and way to win friends and influence refs...in the end if you are winner you get the whistle like Bo Ryan or Izzo without throwing chairs.

Remember his first few years when his team was not getting any calls or they were the victims of horrendous calls? He did not put up with it then and still does not.

And good for him.

And look at Izzo and Greg Gard (who defends his dirty player, who tries to injure opponents).

When Fran calls time outs, however, I am sure he still lays into his team if they are not doing what the game plan called for.

I'd second that Ron. I flip through other college games, and anyone who things Frans some kind of loose cannon or outlier, doesn't watch many other teams play. The crazy thing is some of the shit that guys like coach K or Izzo get away with. Fran wouldn't last 10 seconds in a game if he had some of the tirades those guys throw down....Izzo HAS to have incriminating photos or something on half the refs in the BIG for all the crap he gets away with, including physically grabbing refs. Fran would be permanently suspended if he put his hands on a ref......
