Petition

Petition for Wilson to come out to the audio of the bottle clanking scene from Warriors.
Liked watching him wrestle. He looked a hell of a lot better than Young, Marinelli and Glazier. And I'm still thinking about Cass...but that was pretty flukish. shouldn't have happened though. We can't start the season like this...and I don't want to hear about rust. We have got to beat PSU, and I've seen their scores...not a lot of rust; more like a lot of TFs. No reason our highly ranked guys can't wrestle like Wilson did...TD, TD, TD, and so on. I like looking for the pin, but if it's not there, let's destroy their fricking ego with a TD clinic that might eventually lead to a pin...and if not, we have the TF. We will need lots of bonus points if we want to win it all this year.

That has always been my thought regarding match time strategy. My son was a pretty good wrestler who wrestled up a couple weight classes, so I’ve had a lot of time to watch and analyze how to approach guys who you will ALWAYS win the TD battle but who you will doubtlessly have trouble turning.

You have two choices. First, you can take them down then burn energy and clock trying to turn them, grinding out a decision. Second, you can catch and release to build a big lead and break their spirit. Then, in the 3rd period with their energy low and their hope of avoiding a MD gone, you go for the turn. It’s no surprise that the second option is far, far more effective.

At least cass got caught being aggressive. Maybe a little too aggressive, only thing is like brands said - you gotta get off your back. Lose your f$$@ing mind then make him pay.

Yeah, my youngest had a four year layoff after winning a nation championship from from two concussions and migraines. He’s back again and wrestling kid 15-20 pounds heavier. He’s winning, but he’s trying for tilts and cradles against these big dudes and I said he wasting his time and going to get caught on bottom on his back eventually. He can blast double and dump everyone, but he’s trying to wrestle like it’s a tournament where they actually have weights and don’t go by the stupid 1-5 junior high ranking matchups. I said eff that crap and just do TD and releases and half Nelson these kids and stay out of trouble. Hardheaded and won’t listen, thinks he’s Spencer Lee or something. He’ll slip off on a ride for tilts or a cradle and get caught eventually. It’s hard to do what Spencer does, maybe just be active like Desanto and rack up one point at a time if they can get in on the legs or boot scoots like Schriever.
