I didn't read all the threads as I usually don't after a loss.
Thought Petras looked really good, in general. A lot to work with.
I remember Blair or someone mentioning over the summer that they were working on his accuracy outside the pocket, and I thought that showed up this weekend. Seemed like the subtle things about footwork, facing up and throwing motion/power were just off enough to make him innacurate outside the pocket. Doesn't always have that touch. If Drew Brees is a good benchmark on throwing outside the pocket, he looked more like Dan McGuire
Really like what he has to offer though. Hope that part comes around. Offense has a lot of potential if they can clean up penalties and round Petras into shape.
Still not sure how we can't scheme Bell better. Isn't there a Box and 1 equivalent in football (bracket please?)? I'm sure we tried some things, but haven't looked for anyone's analysis of it yet.
