Lets hope they didn't get cheap on the velcro!!Turf looks way better than game photos I’ve seen.
NY HS football played the title game on that field today in the rain. I’m sure they tore it to shredsTurf looks way better than game photos I’ve seen. Hope it stays that way. BC has some gold jerseys. They should wear those and we wear black. I see a few years ago IU and Duke wore red and blue (no one wore white)

Don't think we're going to have to worry about NYC running out of beer.
Muddy uniforms in December? Love it!It's three weeks until the game. Unless somebody is playing in Yankee Stadium a few days before that, the turf should be perfect.
BTW: No Velcro needed on the natural turf of Yankee Stadium, so there's that.

When they talk about how B10 football used to be about run games and defense, that is the type of playing surface that made that a necessity. I wonder how Wadley will do with those jump cuts on a muddy field, though? His skill set is tailor-made for modern artificial turf surfaces. Maybe Butler and Young will play a bigger role if there's a lot of slipping and sliding.
Bears' NFL rookie Gale Sayers ran for six touchdowns in the mud at Wrigley Field on Dec. 12, 1965. See a story here: http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/nfl-rookie-gale-sayers-ties-single-game-td-record

So it is possible for a great RB with speed and quickness and jump cuts to do OK on a muddy baseball field, whether at Wrigley or Yankee Stadium.
If the blocks are there, I am confident Akrum will do just fine, even if there is a muddy field. Just ask Gale Sayers.
