Maybe Robbin's uncle knows defense!?!? Hire him and bring Liam with him!!
It prevents them from getting it
That would be tough to assess...Pitino always looks pale and dismayed to me.
Interesting thought! If true, I wonder if Liam Robbins would like to play close to home, especially if the entire coaching staff, and his uncle are not there. He would be plug n play into Iowa's system.

Liam robbins went to Minnesota because of a family tie to assistant coach? Whoever takes over for Pittino, assuming it happens, will probably retain said coach.
Robbins would be a difference maker for Iowa next year. I just hope Iowa doesn't see some transfer outs this spring.
Robbins would have to sit a year, he’s already transferred. Don’t see them granting another free pass.

Little Dick is 14-60 on the road in the B1G.
Wow.
Listen:
I hope UMinnesota makes the worst choice they can make in this situation, too.
What are you hearing on the street up there @Franisdaman? 😂
Minny was a bubble team; then they lost to Northwestern; they followed that loss up with a loss to Little Debbie, which is probably the last nail in Little Dick's coffin
this is year 8 for him & he has done nothing
Why dont we do the SAB threads for basketball like football?
I was thinking John Lickliter, Saul Smith, Keno Davis, or maybe Jr Izzo / Jr Hoiberg. The choice is obvious Minny. Todd Lickliter.
Brian Dutcher.....very interesting. D Devries also very interesting to keep Liam in place....
The Devries hirer would be interesting and the snowball effect at Drake as well with Gatens, etc. But Dutcher makes too much sense unless he realizes what San Diego's winter is like vs. Minneapolis!

Yes it is Ed Conroy. I have a question about that. Are there limitations/rules on how many assistant coaches a team can have? Hypothetically, if the new Gopher coach cleans house and Conroy is out, could we just add him to the staff as additional assistant? Or would he have to replace someone already here if we wanted to bring him over?Is the assistant (uncle) Conroy? If so, bring both Robbins and Conroy. Conroy grew up in the Quad Cities. Our (lived in Bettendorf then) AAU played against him. He played at the Citadel ( the same as HIS uncle, Pat Conroy, the author ("Prince of Tides",.........)
But I digress. The Conroy family is steeeeeeeped in BB. He has contacts all over the country. He's been a college HC, his brother is coach at a college in Louisiana, ..... Would be a great addition to the staff.
top 5. It's size is outdated, newer arenas are smaller. It's a big shift for sure, but Dutcher was born in Michigan, went to high school in Minnesota and graduated from U of Minnesota. He'd know what he's getting into.
BTW, I wonder if Minne is ever going to build a new arena. The barn is the last remaining old school box in the B1G. (90 years old, holy sh**) Welsh-Ryan at NW is #2 but it's 25 or so years newer than Williams.
