Just wrapped up our interview session with the players.

Linderbaum says he's 100%. Said he is still getting treatment for his leg, but that's normal. He did have a little sleeve type thing on his leg, but nothing major.

Talked to Joe Evans about the rivalry. He played high school ball at Ames, but said he grew up rooting for Iowa. He is pretty excited about the game, but keeping emotions in check.

Asked a few of the guys on offense about communication this week since this will be Iowa's first road game with a full stadium since the 2019 game at Nebraska. They said they are pumping in a lot of noise this week in practice to simulate what it's like. Linderbaum said he feels good about the OL and that the young guys will be ready for it.

Petras was talking about some 4th down decisions and going for it in certain situations. He mentioned the 4th and 2 play and said many times he knows that they are going to go for it in those situations based on the field position. Said some of it is simply analytics based on those decisions.

Talked to Caleb Shudak about this game. Remember, his dad is a former Cyclone kicker. He said his dad has given him some advice on the game. Also asked him about the wind there and he said he has a process he goes through before the game and then at halftime because the wind can be tricky there.

We will get Kirk at 2 pm today and he will have any other updates.
