Player only meeting

giphy.gif

I heard of an Iowa team years ago that had a players only meeting and went on to win a Big Ten title. (It wasn't in basketball.) Sometimes these things make a big difference. Sometimes they're a waste of time. The next four games will tell us where this meeting belongs, but I tend to think that, for this team at this time, it might help.

The player only meeting may or may not be helpful for the bottom line wins and losses. If the guys think it's useful for team cohesion that's probably its main benefit.

+1 Who knows what impact this meeting will have, but it shows they care about how the season ends.

Also, don't know why everyone (the media) is making a huge deal out of it anyways.

OOH, a players ONLY meeting!??! Oooh....

Big fricking deal, like players on team don't meet and talk all the darn time.

Don't know why it's such a big deal really. A players only meeting could be considered right after practice in the locker room, I presume.

I like it , just refocus , they know something has been off last few games.

LIKE it, too. It's up to the players, at this point, anyway. Fran, Kirk, Andrew and Sherm might as well sit up in the cheap seats.

#goHawks !!!

Just need to do the little things concentrate on free throws and box out on rebounds. Also in the last game I haven't heard anyone mention that blocks and assists were down little things that can mean the difference between winning and losing.

"Show us on the Herky Doll where George Niang touched you."

It's no wonder the players didn't want to talk about the meeting to the press!!!

I always kind of laugh when I hear players only meeting. Who knows if it does anything, but I know if you are up to your 3rd or 4th one or whatever they have had in Ames, it is not a good sign.

Hope the Hawks just come out ready to go Wednesday
