Plenty of tickets available for Minnesota

I bet the night before Minnesota gives out free tickets to students. They've been known to give out free tickets to students

I won’t give that pathetic athletic department one red cent. $80 for nose bleeds? Nose thanks!
I just checked Stub Hub. The lowest priced ticket is $120/ticket after all fees.

Prices will continue to come down.

I still think the best option is to scalp at the Hawkeye Huddle or outside TCF Stadium before the game. Even if you currently have tickets, when you see a scalper, ask him what he wants, and you will be surprised at what he wants vs what you have already paid.

The LOWEST cost for 2 tickets on Stub Hub was $240 ($120 EACH).

The Breakdown:
$185--2 tickets at $92 each
$044--Service fees ($22/ticket)
$011--Delivery fee ($5/ticket)

The HIGHEST cost for 2 tickets on Stub Hub was $1,024 ($512 EACH).

The Breakdown:
$821--2 tickets at $411 each
$198--Service fees ($99/ticket)
$005--Fulfillment fee ($2.50/ticket)

Just 4 rows up from the field, on the 50 yd line!!!

Nevertheless, this seller is clearly delusional!!! Goofer fans are clearly trying to profit from Iowa fans.

Go to the Minnesota website at www.gophersports.com and you will see there are still a fair amount of tickets in many sections

Crazy how the cheapest ticket the U of M is selling goes for $88 each.

If you choose "SELECT YOUR SEAT" and try to get to the cheapest tickets still available, start in Section 201 and you can get tickets for $88 each ($80 plus $8 in fees).

The Breakdown:

$160--Sec 201, Row 30, Seats 4 & 5
$016--Ticket Fees (2 x $8 ea)

$176 Total

If you are looking for 2 tickets on the U of M's website & select BEST SEAT AVAILABLE, this is what currently comes up: $120 each ($110 + $10 in fees).

These are lower bowl, visitor side, on the corner end zone.

The Breakdown:

$220--Sec 115, Row 31, Seats 8 & 9
$020--Ticket Fees (2 x $10 ea)

Since a large percentage of goofer season tickets are institutionally owned, there's always a boat load for sale outside the stadiette on game day because these entities are either too embarrassed to offer them to their clients or their clients have better things to do like getting a root canal. Craigslist is also a good source, but you run in to the same type of delusions there over the price that you do with "this is our year."

Even though the cheapest seat is $80, remember TCF is about the smallest stadium in the Big 10 & their nosebleed seats aren't too bad of view

The U of M only having 50,800 tickets available does not help.

The Metrodome (64,000 +) and US Bank Stadium (67,000 +) gave (would give) Hawks fans a better chance at getting cheaper tickets.

So the lack of supply at TCF Bank Stadium affects pricing, obviously.

There should be plenty of tickets available leading up to gameday. The U of M jacks up ticket prices for the Iowa and Wisconsin games at TCF anticipating large number of traveling visitors (which is true) but it is always done with the hope that Gopher fans will attend (which rarely happens).

So even though its one of the B10's smallest stadiums, the number of empty seats for home games is often alarming … 10,000-12,000 short of sell-out, sometimes even more …..the game time stadium photos are embarrassing for a big city university with 50,000+ undergraduates.

Do you agree that scalping at the Hawkeye Huddle or outside the stadium is the best option?

If you look at the link above Minnesota has only around 30 K fans actually show up for their games. That being said, the Hawks are in town so there will be a lot of black & gold in the stands

I'm not going to be able to go this year but want to make it up to tcf bank stadium next time.. their stadium looks really nice and I've only heard good things from ppl who have visited... would be nice to get Kinnick North going again

I have a group of 6 coming and would love to have great seats with a bunch of Hawk fans. Anyone have a hookup?

Not opposed to scalping on game day but could be difficult to accommodate our request?

Not necessarily good seats. I have three (or two, if you like) on the 20, close to the action in the lower deck - great view of whole field. $100 each. Stub Hub $190, UM $205 Section 143. Check it out.
Asking price and sale price are two different things. On Mark's Tickets, there are 6 for sale at $130 in section 142--between the 25 and 35--row 6. This is also the goofer side of the field where you have to stumble over oxygen tanks to get to your seat. More than likely, there will be better seats for sale on the steps on Saturday for $20.

Really think they will be that cheap?

I kind of wonder if it being a 2:30 game if it's going to get a lot more Iowa Hawkeye fans making making the trip up the day of
