This multi-suspect home invasion team burst into the front door of this Alaska home and pepper sprayed the home owner trying to subdue him. Clearly fearing for his life, the good guy reacted by drawing and firing his handgun – striking one of the violent thugs and sending them all fleeing.

Without his handgun, what do you think would have happened to this family?

All the handguns in the world aren't going to help you Arb. You'll go manic and get banned again, then you'll hide out for 1-2 days and be right back here punishing all of us under a new name.

I keep waiting for the day some armed homeowner thwarts one of those SWAT invasions. "You can inspect the tea leaves in my garbage over my dead body!"

I thought citizens never stopped crime by being armed? So confused. The media and liberals convinced me we don't need firearms for protection. That guns can't possibly make us safer.

I'm fine with this. I'm fine with you owning a bazooka if you want, as long as you've proven to be a responsible bazooka owner. What we're asking for is some common sense legislation to keep guns out of the hands of bad guys and crazy people. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Defend your house? Cool. Go target shooting? Cool. Go shot a bear? Dickish, but I'm not gonna' fight it. Wear your M-16 to a movie theater to make you feel like a man? Not so cool. Bring your M-16 that you bought at a gun show with no background check to a movie theater after telling your shrink you want to hurt people? That's a failure of our society, and the NRA's hands are bloody.

Maybe when someone shoots up a theater next time we should just let it be handled by arbitration? :p
Just print the legal waiver of rights on the ticket. Better yet, put it on the Birth Certificate. "Now that you're alive, you accept all risks and can't do anything to mitigate them. Live long and prosper."

The obligatory "suing of the movie theater, the producer and director, and the movie studio and distributors" certainly should be handled that way.

The problem with your thinking is that everyone shares responsibility for that actions of a nut job or a criminal when in fact the blame lies solely at the feet of the perp.

Liberals love to spread them some blame on everyone, it's never truly the shooters fault in liberal land.

It takes 6 months full background checks including fingerprints to get a permit to but a M-16 rifle. Don't think you have much to worry about there.

What changes will keep the guns out of the "bad" guys hands? Serious question.
