Police arrested a Tiffin man after they say he used his cellphone to photograph or film others in a Scheels Sporting Goods bathroom in Coralville.
According to complaints from the Coralville Police Department, Jonathan E. Martin, 24, of the 600 block of Lilac Street in Tiffin, was using his phone to film or take pictures of another man in an upstairs bathroom at the Scheels store in the Coral Ridge Mall at about 11:45 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the victim told them he was using one of the two stalls when he noticed Martin photographing him. Martin came forward to police on Wednesday, admitted to taking the photos, and said there were at least 50 other instances where he did the same thing.
Martin is charged with invasion of privacy, a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. He is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail.
