Could care less. He didn't have the balls to compete for the starting job so I think that showed his lack of Iowa loyalty. Don't tell me Iowa didn't give every chance either.

I always wanted to see Jake excel when he was wearing the black and gold, but I don't care anymore. Really just curious to see how he does in the new environment with no hopes either way. I am glad he is gone.

How much less could you care? :D

You're correct that he was given a lot of opportunities. He chose to leave, and I hope he finds what he's looking for, but I won't be wasting much time keeping track of his senior season.

I don't recall seeing a poll like this when Wheger (sp) bailed from Iowa and played for Morningside.

I don't understand how anyone can root against the kid. He was a good Hawkeye by all accounts. I don't blame the guy for wanting to go somewhere where he would likely get to play his senior year.

How pitiful must your life be to actually want him to fail?

I don't root for Michigan to win and I always thought CJB was the better option for Iowa but I wasn't hoping he would play poorly last night.

I love all the posters taking the time to post in this thread that they could care less. or couldn't care less. or don't care. or careless.

I couldn't care any less than I care now that I couldn't care any less than I used to care. Is that careless enough?

I rooted for him last night. Felt bad for him after 3 picks. Obviously the kid loves football and wants to be successful on the field. Otherwise he wouldn't have transferred and he would have started his med school program. He wants to play, can't play football forever.

I really don't root against any former hawks minus the ones that steal credit cards and rape women.

Beathard had to back up Jake for several years and stuck it out. Rudock transferred after having some adversity. He left the team. He was a terrible teammate. Screw him.

Adversity? He was a 2 yr starter and lost the job 9 months before his final season of eligibility. He is a smart guy and knew CJ had more tools and at best, JR would be a backup for at least a good chunk of the season and likely would only win it back via injury.

He made a great move for himself. And, it is actually a very good move for the Iowa football team as it eliminated all the distractions that would have dominated the entire off season and every time CJ throws a pick.

Bottom line is, JR leaving was the best thing for both parties.

Clueless

I don't know if I have ever agreed with icu but this last post is the closest we have come to agreeing. I would say "Bottom line is, JR leaving is the best thing for JR and potentially the best thing for Iowa." Only negative for Iowa is if JR would have embraced the roll (highly unlikely) and if Iowa lost CJ to injury.

Hadn't thought about his transfer or the outcome of his first game until I saw the posts on here. He left and now is playing the same type of ball he played at Iowa. Which isn't going to bring any big time wins for Blue anytime soon. Just glad he's not here, but has found a place he can continue to play football and continue his education. Good for him............Better for IOWA.

My guess is Jake haters want him to play bad and Ferentz haters want him to play well. Those who hate them both don't care has long as they can keep 2nd guessing everything

He's always going to be slightly above average at his best if that, so I honestly don't care I'm happy he's not our starter, but I don't wish him ill will.
