After Marquette I have got to go with the blow out. The thing that still stands out to me is when we've put together long stretches of nearly perfect basketball. I mean, these are reminding me of our streak last year where we beat Michigan and Maryland. And until that goes away I've got to keep believing that we've reached our Zen, or Feng Shui or some other odd word for being 100% in sinc on the court.

I went with what I picked against Marquette since it turned out so well. I re watched that game and it was a thing of beauty the second time also. Like danl said, it was one those games that we played almost flawless basketball.

Looking at Dayton's roster, they only have one senior who has barely played this year. Iowa definitely has the edge in experience. Their center is a freshman, Steve McElvene. He's big, 6'11"/268lbs, but Woody handled Marquette's junior Luke Fischer, who's a load down low, just fine. Dayton looks to have a decent shooting team. But Iowa has outshot them from 3, 41.9% to 36.5%, and that's with Jok really only playing one game at Marquette. Dayton has a good PG in Scoochie Smith. But he doesn't have overwhelming speed, so I think our seniors handle him. Dayton is a better team than Marquette right now. But Iowa should handle them if they play like they have been.

I'm not sure they have anyone that can match-up with JU, at least their starters don't have the height to. Feed JU on the block early and force them to their bench or into a zone.

The things I like so far are how well MG is running the team and his level of play at the point guard, the number of guys hitting the 3 point shot. Jok and JU have to ability to go off and fill up the basket in quick fashion. Now I am trying not to put too much stock in the Marquette win. They looked terrible and could not hit 3 point shots and thankfully they didn't stop trying. Winning games is really hard and Iowa might not have that easy of win the rest of the year regardless of how well they play. I am looking/hoping for a single digit victory over a tough team. Keep racking up wins and building a resume.
