Meaning, their Rivals boards are dead (no traffic), or are you talking about a lack of Iowa fans posting on those websites? Are the Hawkeyes the only people who post on their site's open board? I checked the MI, tOSU and the Wisconsin boards and there is no one posting there.
I posted on the Penn State not too long ago and got a response.... I was using a different ID though.... I have to use a new ID now because somebody banned me.
A big plus for Hawkeye Report is that Tom and Blair allow debate from fans of Iowa's rivals. That differs from other boards where you can get easily banned for posting a comment that may be true but doesn't digest well for the fans that frequent that board. Hawkeye Report allows a much longer leash. That is appreciated not just by Iowa fans but by visitors as well.
Some other sites, if a visitor breathes a word of criticism the board Gestapo bans him. Not on HR, The mods here seem to believe in free speech and difference of opinions, and not just from Iowa fans.
On some boards (UN) you can disagree with other fans if you are a fan of the home team and don't go too far. A visitor doesn't get that consideration. Fans of other schools post on Hawkeye Report and know a foe's opinion can be explained here. It must be refreshing for them to visit this site.
I meant nobody posts on those sites period. You people are pretty active. I went and checked NE after the comments on this board. They also seem active. Are the Hawkeyes the only people who post on their site's open board? I checked the MI, tOSU and the Wisconsin boards and there is no one posting there.
I dunno, those Penn State guys can be pretty touchy (pun intended).Nebraska is now, by far, the worst at not allowing any discussion that does not agree that the current Cornhuskers are the greatest ever to play college football. The mods over there have even thinner skins than Penn State does.
