Heather D of ESPN (the gal who stood up for Iowa when talking to the CFP Chair, Jeff Long) predicts Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and OKLAHOMA STATE will be the top 4. While 2 teams directly ahead of Iowa lost, will there be teams jumping ahead of Iowa?

Here are this weekend's results:

#1 Clemson won at home over #16 FL St, 23-13
#2 LSU lost at #4 Alabama, 30-16
#3 Ohio State won at home over MN, 28-14
#4 Alabama won at home vs #2 LSU, 30-16
#5 ND won at Pitt, 42-30
#6 Baylor won at 3-5 KS St, 31-24
#7 Mich State LOST at 4-6 Neb, 39-38
#8 TCU LOST at #14 OK State, 49-29
#9 Iowa won at IU, .35-27
#10 Florida won at home vs 3-6 Vanderbitl, 9-7
#11 Stanford won at 4-6 Colorado, 42-10
#12 Utah won at 4-5 Washington, 34-23
#13 Memphis LOST at home to 7-1 Navy, 45-20
#14 OK State won at home vs #8 TCU, 49-29
#15 Oklahoma won at home vs 3-6 ISU, 52-16
#16 FL St lost at #1 Clemson, 23-13
#17 Michigan won at home vs Rutgers, 49-19

List who you will think will be the Selection Committee's Top 10 teams.

Will Iowa still be there?

Clemson
Alabama
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Baylor
LSU
Florida
Oklahoma State
Iowa
Stanford

1. Bama
2. LSU
3. Arkansas (would have been Ole Miss, but have you seen Arkansas' offense)
4. Cleveland Browns (they have an SEC QB and it will be a good warmup semi-final for Bama)

1
2
3
4
5-Navy
6
7-Memphis, after all it was to a good one loss team
8-TCU
9-Florida
10-Iowa, barely escaped

Yeah I saw the prediction that Okie State should be #4 based on their win over TCU. Then you have the people with Notre Dame in the top 4.

I hate to say it, but I can see it. This CFP committee is becoming a joke and it's looking like Iowa is going to obviously have to win out AND have a lot of luck to get into the CFP even at 13-0.

How I feel the committee will vote:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Oklahoma St
6. Iowa
7. Baylor
8. LSU
9. Stanford
10. Florida

If they go 13-0 and beat OSU they will jump into top 4. There'd be a major meltdown within the B10 if an undefeated b10 champ got left out for one losses

Not sure how Iowa would jump Baylor. Yes they struggled against K-State, but they wouldn't view Iowa's win as dominating.

1. Clemp
2. Bama
3. fOSU
4. ND (based on their utter domination of a great Pitt)
5. Baylor
6. Okie St.
7. LSU
8. TCU
9. Florida (based on their utter domination of Vandy)
10. Iowa (based on their near loss to a poor Pitt)

At this point, not sure I see a viable route even for a 13-0 Iowa team to the CFP Playoff

I think ND could be an issue if they win out.

ACC Champ appears to be UNDEFEATED Clemson
SEC Champ appears to be ONE LOSS Bama
Big 12 Champ appears to be UNDEFEATED Baylor
Big 10 Champ: lets say its UNDEFEATED iowa

What does the committee do with ONE LOSS ND? Put them at #5?

But if you put them at #4, do you really want a rematch with Clemson?

Is it fair to put TWO ACC affiliated schools in a 4 team playoff?

ND might like to think that since they are "independent," they have their own set of rules. Well, since they play 5 games in the ACC year in and year out, that's their league and they lost to Clemson. Just like putting both LSU and Bama in the final 4 is not fair,it would not be fair to put two ACC schools in the final 4.

What sucks is that teams are getting credit for playing in big games AND LOSING

And even for losing games against a team like Ole Miss at home. Ole Miss only has two noteworthy wins, beating A&M at home and beating Bama on the road, while having three losses. I can see putting a one loss team above another undefeated power 5 if the one loss team lost to another top ten team (Notre Dame), but I don't understand why Bama gets a pass for losing to Ole Miss AT HOME.

If they go 13-0 and beat OSU they will jump into top 4. There'd be a major meltdown within the B10 if an undefeated b10 champ got left out for one losses

13-0 and win over last year's title winner OSU...yeah, Iowa is lock to make playoffs.
However, 1 loss in our remaining games and victory over OSU is possible Iowa gets left out.

All that said, winning the B1G title game is a tall order...assuming we get there.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio state
4. Oklahoma state
5. Notre Dame
6. Baylor
7. Iowa
8. LSU
9. Stanford
10. Florida

#1 Clemson
#2 Ohio State
#3 Alabama
#4 ND
#5 Baylor
#6 Iowa
#7 Okie State
#8 LSU
#9 Stanford
#10 Florida

At this point, not sure I see a viable route even for a 13-0 Iowa team to the CFP Playoff

I don't see the BIG 12 getting a team in. They will all likely have a loss. Stanford is the only PAC 12 team that could get in.

I think the 4 teams will likely be then:

1. BIG champ
2. Clemson
3. SEC champ
4. Notre Dame/Stanford winner

How I think the committee will have it:

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Baylor
6. Iowa
7. Oklahoma State
8. LSU
9. Stanford
10. Utah
I think Florida will slip a bit based on the close shave with Vandy and probably be 11 followed by MSU at 12.

I am also projecting Oklahoma State, now with a quality win, will still be dinged for their utter lack of defense and Iowa will be seen as the more complete team.

How I would rank them:
1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Iowa
4. Baylor
5. Oklahoma State
6. Notre Dame
7. Alabama
8. LSU
9. Stanford
10. Utah

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Baylor
6. Oklahoma State
7. LSU
8. Iowa
9. Stanford
10. Florida

Do not forget Conference championships are a big factor, and at this point no one has one. That is the viable route.
Agreed. If Iowa were to get into the B1G championship and beat OSU, MSU, or Michigan then that would go along way to validating Iowa and they would be in.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. Oklahoma State
5. LSU
6. Notre Dame
7. Baylor
8. TCU
9. Iowa
10. Florida

Leaving out undefeated power 5 teams would put an end to this very quickly. Delaney already told ESPN to get bent and formed his own network. He would forge a new path in this as well

I’m guessing:

1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Notre Dame
5. LSU
6. Baylor
7. Oklahoma State
8. Iowa
9. Stanford
10. Florida

My goodness the sky is falling with some of you. THERE IS ZERO CHANCE A 13-0 IOWA IS LEFT OUT. ZERO.

Unfortunately, the odds of going 13-0 is almost as low. The best, most realistic situation is 12-1 and rose bowl. However multiple losses is still much more likely than none.

It is fun to speculate, but it also is meaningless at this point. Whether the committee has Iowa ranked #1 or number #100 doesn't matter. If Iowa is ranked #100 but ends up going 13-0 and winning B1G conference, they will jump up and be in top 4. Guaranteed. On the other hand, if the committee ranks Iowa an overwhelming #1 but Iowa then loses a game, they will drop like a rock and not even get a sniff at the playoffs. It's that easy. 13-0 we are a lock. 1 loss and there is no chance.

Beat an unbeaten Ohio State in the championship...and ending with a perfect record...just stop...Iowa will be invited on a red carpet...

Iowa has chances...the door is open...

I’m guessing:

1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Notre Dame
5. LSU
6. Baylor
7. Oklahoma State
8. Iowa
9. Stanford
10. Florida

Every prediction i have seen has Oklahoma state in the top 4. Might as well be ready for that.

Editor's note: Each week, Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel will break down their top 10 teams based on the most recent slate of games. Here are Feldman's rankings after Week 10 (Also, read Mandel's):

1. Clemson (9-0): Deshaun Watson was terrific and the Tigers notched another strong W beating a talented FSU team to go with a win over Notre Dame earlier.

2. Alabama (8-1): The Tide’s win over No. 2 LSU was total domination and was as impressive as anything we’ve seen this season.

3. Oklahoma State (9-0): Much credit to DC Glenn Spencer who contained TCU and forced four interceptions from Trevone Boykin as the OSU jumped all over and knocked off TCU in their most impressive performance of the season.

4. Iowa (9-0): The road wins over Wisconsin and Northwestern looked very good. Those two are 15-4 overall and 8-1 in all their other Big Ten games.

5. Ohio State (9-0): Urban Meyer is now 47-3 in his first 50 games at OSU. The Buckeyes stayed undefeated with a win over a 4-5 Minnesota team and are still looking for their first win over a Top 25 opponent.

Ohio State beats Minnesota without J.T. Barrett

6. Baylor (8-0): The Bears had their hands full against a middling Kansas State team. Not great when the rest of you schedule has been a big dud so far.

7. Notre Dame (8-1): A nice win over Pitt won’t catapult the Irish any higher but four unbeatens going down definitely helps their cause. So does the fact that Navy, a team ND beat by 17 last month, is now 7-1 and just went to Memphis and crushed the Tigers.

8. Stanford (8-1): The Cardinal handled hapless Colorado and remained on top of the shaky Pac-12 North.

Stanford crushes Colorado, 42-10

9. Oklahoma (8-1): Lincoln Riley’s offense continued to sizzle against a mediocre Iowa State team.

10. LSU (7-1): The Tigers got mauled by a ferocious ’Bama D in Tuscaloosa and are going to need a lot of help to get back in the playoff race.
