Prediction: Toussaint's continued progress

Also, anyone else notice the team issued white shoes last night? I wonder if Fran told him he wear those until he earns wearing the funky ones by not slipping and falling all of the time like happened in Chicago.
There were other players slipping in that game. Court over Ice?

I think his defense is underappreciated, even though everyone recognizes it as his strength. He had 5 steals and 2 turnovers against Kennesaw. He got one loose ball in particular that he had absolutely no business getting to ahead of he Kennesaw player. His quickness is such a game changer on defense, I'm willing to put up with some bad choices on offense until he gets experience.

JT's biggest issue in the Cincy game was tripping over a Cincy player and Garza's big dogs on the first two possessions trying to get into the lane which was there for JT to take. I don't blame Joe's effort at all and it's what fans on this board have been clamoring for an Iowa PG to do but Joe has to avoid the trips & slips with the ball trusted in his hands. It was not a good day for him but I remember a lot of days like this for a lot of young players through the years with Fran and guess what? Wow, do they get better and so will Joe...way too talented of a PG.

I like what Mo said above about what JT did against Kennesaw....I cannot like this enough....there was another loose ball play like a fumble in football where Joe came from a distance far away from the closer Kennesaw/Iowa players and like a bullet won the fumble scramble drill to get back possession of the ball for Iowa......incredible speed and effort to get the damn ball. Only a player like JT with his speed, quickness and willingness to make a play can do this. He is all over the court ...quickly.....you can't have enough of this when you are trying to win games in this league.

What Iowa has as a team is a bunch of scrappers. I have seen every player diving for loose balls and sticking their noses into scrapes for the team. It's a good situation that the Hawks have.

Amen.....spot on. BB teams that collectively do this and get their nose or have a nose for the ball to win possessions is going to win a lot of games. It makes up for a team that may not be as talented as the next but I think this Iowa team is a very talented team starting with Garza who is winning possessions on the boards and yes, diving for loose balls too. This team is also very cerebral and that imo starts with CMac....dang is he a dynamic player filling many roles and doing it well. CJ too. JT will be another player who understands BB in terms of BB down and distance better as he matures as a PG...he just has that PG "it" factor. Give him some rope.

It's nice to see that Joe T., who really should be a fish out of water coming here from Brooklyn, seems to really be having a lot of fun being a part of this team.
