No sweet sixteens, which seems to be the problem for most people. People here would not be happy with that from Fran

As a fan, I enjoy being ranked. However, I’m going to ask for w, and more late season wins. The rankings do help with seeding in the end I guess? Otherwise...
Pat Chambers, Tim Miles, Chris Collins, and Richard Pitino all have far less success than Fran McCaffery.
Miles may be fired shortly , Have we sunk to the level that we’re getting satisfaction comparing Iowa basketball to penn state , northwestern and Nebraska? This is called settling. Agree to disagree.
I was responding specifically to the idiotic comment that Iowa's problem is too many McCaffery. We'll see if they ever live up to their billing, but I stand by that comment being idiotic.
You said name some coaches, I did just that with some relevance as they were all in our conference. Fran’s resume is a lot better than any coach I named, yet you attribute Iowa to sinking to their level somehow.
How about this, name some schools who fired a coach with similar results as Fran’s. Let’s see how it worked out for them. I’ll start: Iowa-Tom Davis....

Iowa will never get to the next level If we stay stuck in the , look what happened after Davis mold. It’s no guarantee but you keep trying. Look at Iowa State. Over the last 10 years whos been better , Iowa or Iowa state?
You aren't going to convince people otherwise when they have no interest in seeing anything but negative. Thankfully FSU stuck with Hamilton during his first 10 years. He too had less success than Fran.
What does Iowa State have to do with anything? They’ve had two previous coaches in the past ten years, both which voluntarily moved on. Also, as far as I know, none of the ISU coaches left ISU after the worst three year stretch in Cyclone history. So this is like comparing apples to pepperoni pizzas.
Talking to some of clone homers they said the Greg McDermott years were pretty bad. I always bring up TL and they say it’s a close comparison. I’m pretty sure McDermott at least won 50% of his games at ISU. I don’t TL got above the 40% mark. God those were some dark days of Iowa basketball.
What does isu have to do with anything in a Hawkeye thread? I swear for such a small fan base they have a crap ton of posters.
Just an example that we are very familiar with. They have hired several coaches and have a better program than we do right now.
