Here I always thought it was once you go black. All these years later I could have gone back.
This place has warped me. I thought for sure “progressive lenses” was going to be a political post.

Not if you get good quality "HD" ones.
That is all that Costco sells.
Get cheap ones, with low-index lenses, and they'll drive you crazy.
I hated mine....tried them for a weekend and stayed nauseated the whole time. Now I have about 15 pairs of readers scattered all over the house.
I went straight from never having glasses to progressives when I was low 40’s. Never had any issues with them. Well, except for the time on vacation in Sanibel, Florida, I forgot I put them in my pocket to wear sunglasses and sat down and snapped them in half. Used a bandaid to hold the nose piece together the rest of the trip. I did get up early the next day and drove to the nearest eye doctor to see if they could do anything but they said they would do exactly what I did only with tape so since it was working, just go with it.
