So KF preaches out ball security.

Deacon has proven that he cannot protect the ball and the wild over the shoulder throw as he was being chased on the bootleg is just inexcusable.

So, either KF is lying about his ball security mindset, or he has 2 different set of rules that he applies based upon position. Which is inherently wrong as the QB touches the ball the 2nd most in any game outside of the center.

If the trade off is more like '09 Stanzi, it balances out, but.... not even flashes.

When asked about Hill's fumble, he said in his post-game press conference something along the lines that turnovers are the result of more than one person not doing his job. Not a quote, but the gist of what he said, as I recall it. That's the first time I've ever heard him say anything remotely close to that. It came off to me as a bit of a rationalization for why Hill is the exception to turnovers (particularly fumbles) get you bench time.

You can tell from the play calling that Kirk absolutely does not trust Deacon in the passing game. Look at the last possession of the game, Once Iowa was in range for Drew to attempt a less than 60 yard fg, Kirk was not putting the ball in his hands to try to get a closer attempt.
