Psaki > Doocy

W/o even watching the video, and just the headline comments, she is 100% correct.

CO:
  • Every voter gets a mail-in/drop-off ballot
  • Drop boxes are located everywhere
  • Drop boxes are open 24/7 for ballot deposit
  • You can drop your ballot into a box ANYWHERE in the state, and it will be routed to your local precinct; so if I'm vacationing on the other side of the state, I can drop my ballot into a local box, and they will route it to Boulder County for me
  • You can sign up to receive email or phone notifications concerning your drop-off/mail-in ballot
  • You get a notification when your ballot is received
  • You get another notification when your ballot is accepted (which means it's been reviewed and now you know your vote will count)

MOST importantly, the CO legislature is NOT in control of elections out here; just as Georgia HAS BEEN - it is run by INDEPENDENT people who are required to follow the law and can-not and will-not meddle in it. This will NOT be the case for any election (as Georgia is trying to become), where legislators can remove and replace ANY county election official with one of their own choice.

Were this the case in 2020, you can absolutely be certain that the GA legislature would have found someone to "get" Donald Trump is 12,000 votes (or discount more than that cast by the other party)

Georgia's law fully undermines that independence AND public confidence that the elections are fair and independent. You're literally putting the elected officials in charge of their own races and that is ripe for meddling. IT IS PRECISELY HOW THINGS WORK IN FASCIST DICTATORSHIPS WORLDWIDE. And it is NOT how the world's flagship democracy should allow things to be handled, anywhere here.

A fool? You think that? The opposite then. Lol. No Doocy is a pathetic Faux Hack and Psaki owning him and all GQP ****s stands on its own. Run along now.
I went over to the Fox News website to see what was there. Seems there's a story where the AP did a comparison of the voting laws. While there are a few differences, Georgia compares favorably to Colorado.

I think you should do a side by side comparison here, so we can have an honest discussion, and you can explain why Psaki owned Doocy. That shouldn't be too hard, right?!

I saw the Colorado is more restrictive narrative on HROT posts last night, I figured they were just parroting Fox News. I guess I was right. But, to be fair, the same thing happens on MSNBC.

How is Colorado more restrictive?
How is Georgia more restrictive?
Are there reasons for each part of the law in each state?

FAUlty is desperate to carry the GOP's water now, its getting more than a little pathetic.

Your bias is affecting your opinion.

So to be clear, your stance it's ok for you to post stuff that just isn't true, but somehow that's "owning" the GOP?

Lolololol. EVERYONE is mailed a ballot. I don't go to parody sites for facts.

Georgia (10 million) has twice the population of Colorado (5 million) - so a longer early voting period in Georgia would make sense -- as well as 15 days for only 5 million. Colorado also allows for open mail in voting which would make up the difference the alleged "shortened" early voting.
We can mail in our ballot but it must be received by the county clerk and recorder no later than 7:00 PM on Election Day and Postmarks do not count.

And everyone gets a mail in ballot. That's not the case in GA. Luckily, the provision in the early GA law requiring the voter to have their signature notarized was removed from the bill.

Everyone including people who no longer live at a particular address. This fall I received two ballots from people who previously lived at my residence before I bought my house. I just threw them away but it would have been easy to fill them out and drop them in a public mailbox.

What is neat is once your ballot hits the county clerk, you will receive an email showing that your ballot has been received, so you should know if someone submitted a ballot in your name.

I must have missed the provisions in Colorado that allow the State Elections board to take over county elections boards on decisions such as which votes to count and the closing of polling locations.
Having the "no food and drink" section and other low hanging fruit that the media will jump on and most likely be stricken by the courts was the slight--of-hand game the GOP played here so they could get this passed through....the real win for the GOP.

Should I feel bad that I don't give a rats ass about the politics of this and I am just excited that I may get the opportunity to go to an All star game and/or the home run derby??

Your general favoritism towards Republicanism.
Your bias is showing. Anything you don't agree with is favoritism towards Republicanism. You don't have the ability to see any middle ground. You keep repeating that in threads like this, but don't say a word when I come out in support of things on the liberal side.

Signature requirements are more restrictive in Colorado.

How are the signature requirements more restrictive? Do you mean there are more signatures required, the review process is more stringent, etc?

Again, the GOP and their propaganda arm Fox News and Doocy are playing to their base of morons, racists and greedy bastards when trying to pass these awful comparisons (GA and CO voting laws being similar for example). The morons won't know any better and will believe what Fox presents as 'facts'. The racists don't care, they just want to preserve their white nationalist leanings and don't give a single **** about voter suppression in GA or other states across the country and in most cases are dumb enough to believe whatever Fox tells them. The greedy bastards don't care about anything beyond money, so all this other noise about racial inequalities and voter suppression doesn't make them blink an eye, they're fixated on the stock market and trying to figure out what politician and policy will result in a better bottom line for them individually. That right there folks is your GOP and Fox news viewers.

The fact remains GA is passing voter suppression measures that specifically target people of color and Colorado isn't. Colorado is a mail in ballot state with 99.3% of the state either voting by mail or dropping a ballot off at a box according to CRP while Georgia's new measures seek to push voters to show up in person while limiting voting locations and drop boxes. Its so dishonest to suggest the voting laws and systems in the two states are similar.

good for Psaki dunking on this unscrupulous 'journalist'.

Fox News is so awful for this nation. I heard Ingraham laughing off the new Covid variants. What the hell is wrong with her? Her BS got people killed and here she goes again, like it isn't a big deal.

Additional outrage now from the Radical Right is that Colorado is a solid Blue State. Conservative media is throwing "shit against the wall" to see if anything sticks.

As Covid and the economy look to be favoring the Dems, the talking points are dwindling.

Fox is filled with shameless and greedy people. Ingraham's own family and siblings have disowned her and calls out her horrific existence. You couldn't assemble a more evil collection of people than what Fox has done with Frozen Fish food heir, Hannity, Ingraham, etc. I tried to watch a few minutes of Fox here and there leading up to the election to just see what they were saying and I never could last more than a minute. Just pure shameless garbage, lies and propaganda with a healthy dose of racism, misogyny and elitism.

All good points. Fox is now at the point of having to go even more extreme with the threat of NewsMax and QaNon siphoning off viewers.

Pure desperation. I look for some notable departures from Fox within the next year or so.

Sure. And when the signature on it didn't match, and it was identified as fraudulent, they'd have fingerprinted it, come to your doorstep to check if your prints matched the ballot inside it, and you'd be facing a multi-year jail sentence along with many thousands in fines.

Go for it, bro.

Same. I will switch over there on occasion but I can't make if for more than a few minutes. If it's Hannity I can barely make it a minute because he constantly says something that pushes a BS narrative. "Radical liberal Joe Biden..." Turning the channel.
