Psaki > Doocy

Oh look! Cherry picked data. This one piece of information does not suddenly make the information Psaki brought up disappear. Colorado still has same day voting, they still have universal mail in voting, they still have all of those things. Also, they still have more than 2 weeks of early voting, which is really good.
Oh. I like that you responded to cherry picked data with cherry picked data.

Hardly. She was pointing out how Colorado law is very different than Georgia law, especially with data points that the new Georgia law restricts. I guess she could have added that the Governor and Legislature can't just remove an election board and replace it with one they like who can then unilaterally overturn an election. You know, the reason why all those governors and secretary of states couldn't tell Trump "yes" to his efforts to get them to overturn the election.

If this Georgia law existed a year earlier Trump would have been successful in getting the election overturned there. And now 20 (?) other states are trying to do the same thing?

One thing is for sure, the mere threat of corporations coming out against the GOP's latest tactics have them very worried. They are very afraid their money trees will go away, although I seriously doubt corporations would go that far. Also, the boycotts work.

I would be thrilled to have the CO voting system implemented nation wide. You literally get a ballot with return postage if you want one or not. Colorado has a weird political identity with the rural areas hating the decision makers in Denver despite the fact that those same decision makers continue to expand their personal freedom. I can't really explain it except they don't actually want freedom, they want authoritarianism and to be the "in" group"...So freedom for them but not for others.

But but but GA and CO are nearly the same?!?!

Universal mail-in voting and same day registration makes Colorado vastly superior to Georgia.

If there is a persuasive argument that a state that does not have these substantial voter friendly measures is even remotely comparable to a state that does, I'd like to hear it.

I went over to the Fox News website to see what was there. Seems there's a story where the AP did a comparison of the voting laws. While there are a few differences, Georgia compares favorably to Colorado.

I think you should do a side by side comparison here, so we can have an honest discussion, and you can explain why Psaki owned Doocy. That shouldn't be too hard, right?!
Ah, Faux news.....no wonder you're so misinformed. They did a side by side comparison on our local news and blew that BS out of the water. In Colorado you only show ID for in person voting which only 6pct of voters did in '20 but even before covid over 90 pct voted by mail which contributes to CO having one of the highest turnouts in nation (2nd in 2020). CO allows 16 documents as allowable forms of id, it's 6 for GA.

In CO you can register to vote up to and including election day while in georgia the deadline is 29 days before the election so if you forget to do it before oct 10 for Nov 8 election in '22 you are disenfranchised. That is ridiculous. There are way more ballot boxes and they are accessible 24 hours in CO whereas it's only during business hours during early voting in GA. And the biggest thing is the legislature isn't in charge of elections like it is now in GA. They aren't even comparable no matter how much the right lies and says they are

Cool. Voter ID is acceptable now. At least the left is now admitting it's been full of shit on that point for years.
