indeed ... it's amazing how well those PSU guys at 125, 133, and 141, none of whom were top 10 p4p HS recruits, "developed" under Cael.
Those three certainly ain’t helping Cael snag that elusive “best lightweight room in the country” title....
maybe Cael will learn it's harder to develop non top 100 guys into AA's... that or dig deeper into the slush fund for some replacements
Nobody ever developed under Cael - If they can't make it he sends them packing. Chance for example. All, he does is pay them more than anyone else with hopes of some Club money.
Nice to have all that depth..Penn State will take the red shirt of Nick Lee at 141.
The transfer Cortez will not score many points in nationals..Also the grad Klenner at 133 will not either so not much from 125 to133..If any of the big guns slip Ohio State could over them..Lee however could be there savior.

141 is a minefield and Lee hasn't separated himself from most of the top 15. As much of a chance of him not placing as there is if him placing IMO.
I wouldn't pull his redshirt.
Cortez was no slouch, I think he was #1 at his HS weight, but Earl's site had him at #12 overall, in the class of 2014...a bit below what Cael is used to.
It seems that Cael gets a lot of studs, but it also looks like he is pretty thin. Apparently he doe not recruit back ups. Last year his only 125 was Suriano. Now it looks like he has a walk on starting that spot. They put a second string 149 pounder out there to take the place of Joseph. You mean he does not have a second string 57 or 65 pounder? Maybe he has some depth at 197, but that may be all.

Cael has some top 10 p4p kids as back ups right now. Several of them.
9.9 skollies for ten spots. Pretty tough to have a top-20 guy as backup with that limit. Plus, what's the point? Nobody cares about duals and a #20 guy helps you at Nationals pretty much the same as not entering anybody.
Well, I'm not sure that I'd give myself THAT much credit, but my words must certainly be terrotfying enough to have my posting privileges revoked on three different rasslin sites, all with the irony that rasslers are supposed to be tough and thick skinned.
