I think the punt game has taken a back seat with the offense being terrible. The punt game has sucked the last few weeks. Line drive punts that out kick the coverage. Then the 22 yard punt?

If Ferentz sticks with this kid as punter...and Stanley as QB, why not let Fant play 10 -15 snaps in the 2nd half instead of 8? This Fant shit just doesn't add up for me....

CR is tied for 93rd in the country in gross punting. He had seven punts yesterday for a net average of 28 yards. That is special. 90% of HS punters would punt that well or better.
Teams have adjusted to the rugby kick. NW had 2 guys deep and one ran up and cut off the low line drive just like Purdue did last week. It has been so bad the last 2 weeks, they are almost like a turnover. We would be better off going shotgun and going for it if we have a good matchup, or just having Stanley punt out of Shotgun to keep the other teams return team off the field. Punting has been a huge factor in our last 2 losses.
This is one of the things that annoys me most! We knew we needed a better punter and didn't bother to go out and get one?
I’m sure there are at least 10 better punters out there on the Iowa campus playing intramurals
