Punting

Punting has been atrocious.

But do you realize that we’re just about two yards behind the average in the B1G.

But I do wonder if we’d be better off with Stanley punting all the time.

When we won state Derby punted for us, was awesome ran fakes all the time.

Subtract the roll and the 5 yards or so the punter runs forward before kicking and we would be closer to last.

Why would we exclude the roll? Every other team includes the roll in their stats.

This kind of argument is insanely stupid.

Despite having the two worst punters on earth, Iowa is 68th out of 129 teams in net punting. Must be some amazing coaching.

Wisconsin is ranked 98th and Michigan is 109th.

The top ten punting teams are:

1 Texas
2 Utah
3 Texas A&M
4 Georgia
5 Missouri
6 Bowling Green
7 Stanford
9 Tennessee
10 New Mexico

Though the punting game might have some problems, I think there are probably bigger concerns.
