Can you see yourself withdrawing (or extending) support for trump if he does a U turn on specific policies or promises? If so which ones?

If taxes go up, he reverses on the border, makes preferred pronouns great again, reverses his stance on meritocracy vs. being handed preferential treatment over race or sexual orientation...

Those are a few things he could do to cause me to lose hope.

To be clear, I don't support Trump, I support what he says he wants to do... Secure the border, make America safer, energy independence, improve our trade positions, and putting America first in all situations. I'd love to additionally see immigration reform (fixing the system to get more of the right people here legally more quickly).

If Kamala would have wanted to do those things, she'd have had my vote in a Heartbeat. It wasn't so long ago Dems were in support of those things...

I can tolerate about anyone’s policies. But he has to stop the lying. He has to stop the narcissism. He has to stop senselessly attacking people who don’t deserve to be attacked. I can handle his tax policies. I can handle his border policies. I may not agree with them but I can handle them. He has to stop being Trump. If he can do that I’d at least respect him.

He can’t do it. His ego won’t allow it.

Throwing a hissy fit about losing an election that rivals the behavior of a 5-year old is forever a deal breaker.

He led a coordinated attempt in multiple states to reverse the results of a presidential election. Allowing him back into even the opportunity for leadership was dangerous, where we're at now is lunacy.

There is absolutely nothing that he could do that would make me support him. And I gave him a chance the first go around. He showed that when it was needed most he had no idea how to lead. His ego doesn't allow him to let the experts handle the things they know about. He has to be the one who knows the most in all situations. He will destroy our country and millions are applauding because they think it will hurt people of color or LGBTQ. When my great grandkids look back on this time I want them to know that I was on the right side of history and didn't support him.

I call bullshit. You were always going to vote for Trump.

Unfortunately so will all the dickheads on this board that voted/supported him. If not, they'll just lie to their grandkids that it was all the Dems fault. I hope their grandkids kick them down a flight of stairs

Getting us into WW3 instead of getting us out of these overseas conflicts we gin up.
Definitely a deal breaker.
I like to study war, I don’t want the country to live in one constantly.

Dishonest. Every candidate says they want to do all of those things. Trump, though, is a vile idiot who wants to accomplish those things in the meanest, most clumsy and bigoted possible ways. He wants to get there by being a schoolyard bully. It’s his tactics that attract you, but you don’t want to admit it.

I would never support him because it has nothing to do with issues. It has to do with letting a vulgar and disgusting human being lead country; creating a cult of followers who no longer respect our democracy, and who live in an alternate reality of “facts” that are nothing but lies. He is, with no hyperbole, changing the very fabric of our country into something foul and depressing.

A pox on everyone who has refused to acknowledge this and refused to stand up against it.

No, because I don’t think if it's about the policies/views for me, it's more the lack of leadership. The response to the plane crash is a perfect example (unfortunately).

Grievances are his fuel. When none exist, he has to create them. The man is toxic.

Even if he I was with him, say 80% of the time on political views, I'd still think that he's the wrong man for the job.

I get that ‘alternate reality’ feeling when I see people parrot neocon talking points that the Ukraine war has nothing to do with NATO expansion, and that the former president was ‘sharp and focused’, and actually the one in charge.

You are a sad, broken little man.

People can know Biden was not capable of continuing on as President for a second term and still not support Trump. You realize there was a choice that was neither Trump nor Biden right?

Right?

You realize that Putin is an imperialist war monger who gives his own neocons red meat by creating a narrative to justify an unjustifiable war. He wanted Ukraine so he took it. You fell for Russian propaganda and you continue to spew it - even after many many thousands have perished. You realize this makes you look foolish right?

Right?

You are a sad, broken little man.
Did you believe it when they told you over and over he was ‘sharp and focused’?
Or did you just accept those lies because of how you feel about Trump?
Does the gaslighting by the Democrats during the last election bother you at all?
I’m not sad that Bill Kristol’s candidate lost. Pretty happy about that fact.

He’s an idiot but he’s our idiot. LoL.

Seriously, it would be nice to use the 25th amendment in a year or two. The guy is just not made to run a country. Might be perfect for his dysfunctional company.
The companies that went bankrupt or stayed in business?

I believe the Democrats spit the bit. But any good American needed to do whatever was necessary to keep Trump out of office, and to stop the assault on everything our country stands for.

If he apologizes for Warp Speed, seals the border, balances the budget, pays down half the debt, gets the US out of foreign affairs, ends the Fed and restores gold and silver-backed dollars, dismantles the M.I.C., cleans up the drug and chemical industries poisoning our society, releases the Epstein and DC Madam's client lists and stops trolling on social media?

Then I'll give him credit.

Does our country ‘stand for’ leveraging jihadists groups to overthrow foreign governments?

I see that as a terrible assault on what our country should stand for, own with at least a six digit body count in the last two decades to go along with it.

I’ll hold my nose over a lot of shit to see that policy discussed openly, as people like Trump and Gabbard have been willing to do.

Why do you think Gaza got so much more focus than Yemen, when hundreds of thousands were estimated to be killed in that failed regime change war the Saudis ran and we supported?

Why couldn’t Biden seek Congressional authorization for his campaign in Yemen? The last three Democrat presidents have completely wiped their ass with the War Powers resolution.

It’s got to stop.

Tariffs are taxes bruh. He’s not hiring people for his administration based on merit. It’s being made on connections or if they love Trump.

Trump has no policies, he's not remotely that smart. He has handlers who feed him policy. He's a psychopathic narcissist who recognizes other human beings simply as vehicles to make him comfortable and he'll do or say anything they ask of him as long as they take care of him. If he were to reverse a policy, it's because they told him to. As I've said multiple times, he would have his own family thrown under an actual speeding bus if he thought it would benefit him.

In case that's not clear, there's no path in the world that would lead me to support him.
