Why would you start a thread like this? There is no way you are genuinely interested in what ISU fans who troll this board think about the future of their coach. You are just trying to start yet another p*ssing match (and, my guess is that you will be successful....congrats).

I like where Iowa is positioned for the future. I really don't give a rat's behind about them.
This will be year 3. My best guess is he will be here 6 years max. He seems like the type that wants to build something in Ames, and he has a young family.....but who knows? If a big boy school came calling, I could see him leaving, and I couldn't blame him.
I don’t think he’ll be there too long. ISU is a low level P5 program not just because of their lack of success but because the administration and fan base are insufficient to support a rise. Too many programs above them will have coaching openings to lure him away.

He really really really wants to beat Iowa though. If Iowa wins this year he may come back just for another shot... Iowa will get their best shot as usual.
OP, you have a lot of posts here. So, you're probably not a troll. Still, I get annoyed when I see threads about ISU here because it seems that most of them are created by ISU trolls....who then go to the ISU forums, and use the threads they made here as evidence of how obsessed Iowa fans are with Iowa State. Still though, why even ask about them? Why does it matter to us?

I'm sure there's a group of programs that he'd leave for under the right conditions. Which ones they are and when they would be available is anyone's guess. I'm sure he'd leave for OSU but Urban would have to leave AND they would have to want him. It's a game of dominoes and not worth worrying about.
This year will be interesting for him for sure. If he surprises again with another 8-4 type year then he'll have a lot of positive buzz. If, on the other hand, his team stumbles and finishes something like 5-7 the buzz will wear off.
More buzz = more likely to get a big time offer and bolt

To me the reason it matters is, if we're going to forced to play them every year, I want them to be worth something. If MC can get them to 7-5 8-4 on a regular basis then the rivalry will mean something.
1. The guy has been there two seasons. After two seasons, people (here and elsewhere) were predicting Jim Walden and Paul Rhoads would soon jump to better jobs.
2. Nobody other than the Campbell family has the slightest idea what might happen if he gets offered a job.
3. Would he take the Ohio State job? Uh......what head coach would NOT?
