Is the seat donation factored in when you purchase the tickets in a certain zone or do you have to make those donations separate to the I-Club?

So If I want 2017 season tickets in say Section 108. How does the donation for those seats work? Do you get a choice of section?

If you purchase the tickets when they are available to the general public (not a renewal) you can select seats anywhere in the stadium that has availability. You pay for the season tickets up front or in 3 installments. Then if you are in a donor level section those monies will be due to the iclub within a month at the latest.
A tip, albeit a bit of a gamble, would be to make a contribution to the iclub for 2017 BEFORE new season ticket sales are offered. If they get back to a waiting list like they had a few years back you might earn a couple of priority points (1pt for every $100, I think) to make you jump those that don't make a contribution. Then you would have already paid your per seat donation. The gamble would be if you donate and then still are too far down the list to get the season tickets. You will have still supported Hawkeye athletics and gained some priority points but would not have your seats.

Can those bigger donations be made to a specific sport or are they just for athletics in general?

The give you a choice, I think, between general athletic scholarship fund and facilities/travel etc. I'm not sure if you could say you want the money to go to just football.

Actually football wouldn't be my choice, but I see what you're saying. I didn't figure that was the case, but you never know. It seems like when people make MAJOR donations they specify what it's for. I didn't know if it was like that in general or not.
