John Raridon commirtted to Nebraska last September, long before the A/D there fired Bo Pelini.

Rairdon is listed by Rivals as being the 3rd best OG in the entire 2016 class.

Any chance that Iowa can flip him now that Pelini is no longer there and got replaced by Mike Riley?

911 you are praying that KF is not here,

I will answer the question as best I can,,

with all the talk about people wanting KF to be fired Raridon may be waiting to see how things shake out before he makes any decision. he is good enough that he can wait till next November to really decide to see how the 2015 season ends before doing anything.

sorry about 911 veing a total arse in how he responded.

Read an article the other day that quoted Raridon as saying he was still committed to Nebraska at this point. Even though he hadn't heard from the new coaching staff yet. I found that second part weird.

I really like that he added the "at this point" to his commitment level. Sounds like he is definitely leaving an escape clause.

Appreciate the response. I've stated before that I'd love to have Iowa move to the top of the Big 10+4

I noticed that South Dakota has produced a 4**** OT in the 2016 class. Rare to see a top football recruit from the Dakotas

Anybody know how things are between Iowa and Matt Farniok? Iowa has put a lot of OL into the NFL. Got history working for you.

We do well at putting OT's in the NFL so you would think the Iowa staff would do well in recruiting that position but they really haven't knocked the ball out of the park there over the past 4-5 seasons. Next year we will be starting two guys at OT with very little experience and who both need to add about another 20-30lbs in the offseason. Our interior linemen had a very up and down year so needless to say we could have a very shaky OL next year.

Raridon's dad played for Nebraska. That is probably the main he is, and will continue to be committed to the Huskers.

The way the new coach is succeeding on the recruiting trail and his tenacity going after players...if this kid is good Riley won't let him get away. Book it.

One of the pluses in hiring Mike Riley is how everyone is underestimating him. Looks like he's starting to build a really good base both in players and assistants.

Awesome, sounds like a guy that should be able to consistently win 8-9 games/year.

Pelini didn't get fired because he only won 9 & 10 games EVERY year he coached (something Iowa fans would kill for). He got fired because of how he lost those games he did lose. That along with his attitude.

Living in PAC 12 land I thought the Riley hire was a solid hire. He has already been bringing in some stud recruits. I think Riley will win 8-11 games a year and beat some teams that he shouldn't beat but also lose a game he shouldn't lose. He in my opinion has a little more upside then Bo did.

And insulting the entire fanbase.
So I was fishing the upper Mississippi this weekend with my son in law and left the flooded water early so that we could catch the remainder of the game that we should have won handily at one of those rustic old watering holes on the Wisconsin side of the river. I was able to talk the bar tender into turning on the Iowa game so that we could take in the remainder of the game while we enjoyed a Sam Adams, the beautiful weather, and atmosphere. We left the pub after Iowa again lost a game that never should have been close and another that I attribute to poor coaching. We should have been 7-0 going into the Wisconsin game and now I feel as though we are going to be lucky to be .500, and that is what I call insulting the entire fan base.

Seriously, what would you do? Right now it appears Riley has things going in a positive direction in year 2 still using Pelini recruited players. Compare that to a 18 year veteran who is obviously slipping back into the standard decline after one good year. Sorry - not seeing a reason for him to flip.

The original post is from quite a while back. John Raridon is already in Lincoln and on the team.

The other player, I don't know. Next years recruit I think.

You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Boone and Ike will be the likely starters at T and they will both be 3 year starters at over 300lbs

Dude the post you just quoted was from over a year and half ago! Did you get lost in a time warp? What I said a year and a half ago was pretty accurate then.
